Europe: 7 Cities in 23 Days - Day 9: Salzburg(3):Petersfriedhof (유럽: 23일 동안 7 도시 방문 - 아홉번째날: 잘츠부르크(3): 성 베드로 묘지)

호엔잘츠부르크 성채를 구경 하려고 표까지 사 놓았는데 그전날 폭풍우 피해로 인해 문을 닫아 구경을 못한다고하네요. 나중에 표 값은 돌려 받았지만. 그래서 거리 구경을 하면서 성 베드로 묘지로 향합니다.

We planed to tour Festung Hohensalzburg, but, unfortunately it was closed to visitors because of damages done by the high wind previous days even though we had the tickets. We eventually got back the refund for the ticket. We instead are heading to Petersfriedhof.

Festungsberg Saint George Shrine

방앗간 옆에는 1150년 부터 수도원과 함께 운영되고 있는 잘츠부르크에서 가장 오래된 빵집이 있습니다. 본래의 나무 화덕으로 구워내는 자연 재로의 사워도우 빵은 단골 손님들에게 큰 인기가 있습니다. 빵은 오래 동안 신선하게 유지되며 버터와 잼을 발라서 먹든가 아니면 치즈와 햄을 얹어 먹으면 맛있습니다.

Next to the mill you find the oldest bakery of Salzburg, which has been continuously operated in association with the monastery since 1150. An original wood-fired oven is still used to bake the pure, natural sour-dough bread so popular with regular customers. The bread stays fresh a long time and tastes great with butter and jam and with cheese and ham.

Petersfriedhof (St. Peter's Cemetery) (피터스프리드호프 (성 베드로 묘지))

호헨 잘츠부르크 성이 있는 요새산 밑에 있는 피터스프리드호프 (성 베드로 묘지)는 1627년 부터 내려오는 잘츠브르크에서 가장 오래되고 아름다운 묘지이다. 잘츠부르크의 많은 귀족 집안과 저명한 사람들이 이곳에 묻혀있으며 묘지는 아직도 초, 꽃, 전나무 가지 등으로 잘 가꾸어져 있다. 묘지 자체도 들러 볼만한 곳이기도 하지만 영화 “사운드 오브 뮤직" 에서 폰 트라프 가족이 숨어 있던 곳을 보기 위해 찾아 오는 방문객들이 많다.

Petersfriedhof (St. Peter's Cemetery) is the oldest most atmospheric Christian cemetery in Salzburg, dating back to 1627 and located at the foot of the Festungsberg with Hohensalzburg Castle. Many of the aristocratic families of Salzburg lie buried here, along with many other notable figures. The graves are lovingly tended by Salzburg families, decorated with candles, fir branches, and flowers. It is a worthy attraction in itself, but many visitors come to see the place where the Von Trapp family hid out in “The Sound of Music”.

Kapiteplatz (카피텔플라츠)

카피텔플라츠에 있는 9 미터 높이의 천구 조각은 독일 화가 스테판 발켄홀의 작품이다. 황금구 위에 서 있는 이 표정 없는 남자는 아마 "보통" 사람을 뜻하는지 모른다.

The sculpture "Sphaera" on Kapitelplatz created by German artist Stephan Balkenhol is about nine metres high. It represents a male figure on a golden sphere with a neutral expression. This man might be 'everyman'.

대성당 남쪽 아치형 입구에 있는 이 약간 신비스러운 동상은 꽤 유명하고 많은 방문자들이 사진을 찍으로 옵니다.

A bit mysterious sculpture at the southern archway of the Cathedral is a very popular and highly photographed sculpture.

Minnesota Great River Road Scenic Byway (미네소타 대 강변 경관 도로)

미시시피 강을 따라 가는 미네소타 대 강변도로는 이타스카 주립공원의 조그마한 개울에서 시작합니다. 저희들의 가을 하루 나리는 세인트 폴에서 시작하여 와바샤까지 경관도로를 일주 하는 것입니다. 이 길이 미네소타에서 가을 단풍 구경으로 많이 추천되는 길이기도하고요.

헤이스팅에 있는 버밀리언 폭포는 몇년 전에 와 보았던 곳이기에 이번에는 들리지 않고 레드 윙에 있는 첫 목적지로 향합니다.

The Great River Road Scenic Byway follows the course of the Mississippi River which begins in Itasca State Park in Minnesota as a small stream. Our one day outing in the Fall is to follow the scenic road from St Paul to Wabasha, Minnesota. This is one of recommended routes for the Fall color in Minnesota.

We skipped the Vermillion Falls in Hastings since we visited it before and headed to our first stop, Red Wings.

예술의 전당은  내셔널 지오그래픽 트래블러 매거진에 의해 미시시피 상류 지역 최고의 예술공간중 하나라고  지정되었다. 이곳에서 제일 눈에 띄는 타워 뷰 단지는 원래 이 단지에 물을 공급하기위해 지여졌는데 요즘 복구작업이 진행 중이지만 한번 들려 볼만한 곳 입니다.

The arts center has been named one of the top artistic sites in the Upper Mississippi region by National Geographic Traveler Magazine. The Tower View complex, the most notable building on the site, was originally constructed to provide water for the entire estate, and while the restoration efforts is ongoing, it is worth a stop.

Red Wing Pottery

이곳에서 손으로 만든 도자기는 꽤 오래 동안 미네소타의 상징적인 상표였지만 도자기 공업화에 따른 저 가격 도자기의 피해자가 되었다. 지금은 재고들만 파는 자그마한 가게만 존재한다.

The hand made pottery was an iconic brand in Minnesota, but it is casualty of industrial manufacturing of pottery, meaning low-cost. It now remains as a small store selling the remaining stocks.


Barn Bluff (반 블러프)

주차장 옆에 있는 계단을 사용하여 트레일의 기점에 도착하면 정상으로 가기에 가장 쉽고 빠른 남쪽 트레일을 사용하세요. 약 30 분정도 예정하시면 되요. 정상에 도착하면 동쪽 전망대와 서쪽  전망대를 연결하는 프레이르 트레일을 따라 걸으며 미시시피 강과 강 절벽을 따라 날으는 흰머리 독수리들을 구경하세요.

반 블러프는 많은 미 인디언들이 묻혀있어 다코다 족들이 신성히여기는 장소입니다.

Take the stairs to the trail head from the parking lot. From there, take the south trail which is the easiest, most efficient way to reach the summit. It takes about 30 minutes. Once you reach the top of Barn Bluff, the prairie trail connects the East and West Overlook. Keep an eye out for bald eagles soaring over the Mississippi River and surrounding river bluffs.

The bluff is considered sacred by the Dakota people because it is the site of many burial mounds.

입구에서 입장료를 내고 직원에게 물었더니 가을 단풍 구경으론 블러프 사이드 트레일(Bluffside Trail)을 추천하드군요. 이 트레일은 윗길과 아랫길이 있는데 윗길이 약간 쉬우나 평평한 길은 아닙니다. 주로 방문자들은 켐핑장에서 시작하여 석회암 아치인 In Yan Teopa (구멍있는 바위)를 지나 아랫길을 따라 걷다 피크닉 장소에서 윗길로 캠핑장으로 돌아오는 순환길을 택합니다.

The staff at the gate suggested the hike of the Bluffside Trails for the fall colors. The upper trail is easier than the lower trail, but neither is a flat trail. This trail is most commonly done as a loop. Hikers may start in the campground, go down past In Yan Teopa (rock with the opening), walk along the lower trail, and finally hike up to the picnic area and walk back to the campground.

절벽 밑으로 보이는 피핀 호수는 미시시피 강에서 가장 폭이 큰 곳이기도 하지만 강에 자연적으로 생긴 호수 입니다. 이호수는 프론테낙 주립공원에서 와바샤까지 길이가 무려 42 Km 입니다.

Lake Pepin below the bluff is the widest area on the entire Mississippi River and is a 26 mile long naturally occurring lake on the Mississippi River that spans from Frontenac State Park to Wabasha. Lake Pepin is famous for being the birthplace of waterskiing.

주립공원들에서 보낸 시간이 길어져 처음 예정했던 국립 독수리 센터는 방문하지 못했습니다. 족수리와 이 지역 새들에 관심이 많은 분들에게나 아이들에게는 좋은 구경 거리가 될수도 있다고 하네요. 특히 아이들이 직접 경험할 수 있는 전시믈들이 많다고 합니다. 또한 야생에서 부상을 입은 독수리들을 치료하며 혼자 다시 야생에서 살 수 있을때까지 재활 시켜주는 모습도 볼 수 있습니다.

We could not visit the center since we were running late, but it could be a good place to visit if you are interested in eagles and other birds or kids are with you. We were told that there are lots of hands on exhibits for children. You may also observe the eagles injured in the wild and rehabilitated but not strong enough to survive on their own.

저희들이 이곳을 들렸을 때는 코로나 전 이었습니다. Note that our visit was before the Corvid.

이 식당이 지역인들의 평이 많기에 들리기로 했습니다. 주말 저녁 식사 때문인지 무척 손님들이 많드군요. 그러나 오래 기다리지 않고 자리를 잡을 수가 있었습니다. 철도 사고 피자 (22불99)는 아주 맛있게 먹었는데 피자에 사용하는 이 지역 치즈가 저희들 입에는 딱 맞드군요. 저희들이 주문한 생선구이 접시가 나오지 않아 물어 보았더니 부엌에서 문제가 있어다며 계산서에 빼 주겠다고 하드군요. 그러나 저희들에게 그냥 버려야 하는 음식이되니 싸줄터이니 가지고 가라고하드군요. 그 다음날 점심으로 먹었는데 맛있었어요. 다음에 갈 기회가 있으면 지역민들이 많이 시키는 닭구이를 시켜 볼까합니다. 손님이 많아 서비스가 좀 늦긴했지만 담당 조업원이 꽤 배려있게 해주드군요. 주차는 길거리에 하면 되는데 바쁠때는 좀 걸으셔야 할 것 같군요.

We decided to try this restaurant since it had large reviews by the locals. The place was busy, but we did not wait too long before we got the table. The Train Wreck pizza ($22.99) was very good, especially the local cheese they use. Our order for fried fish dinner came out after we were done with the pizza. The staff apologized and removed it from our bill, but gave us the food to take home. She said she does not want it go to waste. It was excellent when we tried it for the lunch next day. We may go back to try their chicken dinner since large number of locals were ordering them. The service was a little slow, but attentive even though the house was packed. The street parking wasn't bad even tough you may have to walk for a block or two.

저녁 식사 후에 가까운 곳에 카지노가 있다고 하여 들렸는데 저희들에겐 행운이 없었네요. 당신의 운을 한번 걸어 보시든가.  

We stopped at the casino after dinner, but did not win anything. You may try your luck.

저희들이 잘츠부르크에서 구경할 곳들이 슐로스 헬브룬을 제외하곤 호텔에서 걸어 다닐만한 곳에 있어 할인 교통표를 구입하지 않았습니다. 그러나 각자 방문할 장소들 거리와 며칠 머물 것이냐에 따라 어느 할인 교통표가 도움이 될지 연구해 보시기 바랍니다.

Since most of places we plan to visit were in walking distance from the hotel except Schloss Hellbrunn, we did not purchase any discount tickets for public transportation. But, we suggest to study your options depending on the number rides/days you may use the public transportation.

호텔에서 먹은 아침 식사는 고급은 아니었지만 재료들이 신선하고 맛있었습니다.

Breakfast at the hotel wan't fancy, but it was fresh and tasty.

헬브룬 궁전의 노란 외관은 굉장히 평범해 보이고 대칭 건물이지만 방과 벽들은 매우 아름답게 장식되어있다. 그러나 잘 가꾸어진 정원들이 방보다 더 잘 알려져 있는데 그것은 세상에서 당신에게 물을 쏘는 단 하나의 왕실 궁전이기 때문일 것입니다. 와셔스펠레 (속임수 분수) 는 대주교가 장난삼아 만든 것인데 생각지 않을 때 손님들에게 물을 쏘거든요. 그래서 저희들은 우비까지 준비했는...

저희가 들린 날은 그전날 폭풍우로 나무들이 넘이지고하여 정원 관람이 안된다고 하더군요. 궁전과 지하실만 구경할 수 있었습니다. ㅠㅠ 또한 헬브루너버그에서 보는 찰쯔부르크 경치가 좋다고하는데 못 을라갔네요.. 표 값은 깍아주었지만 (7,60 유로)

The yellow exterior of Hellbrunn is simple and symmetrical while the rooms and walls including the octagonal music room are beautifully decorated. However, the well maintained gardens take much attention from the actual house since it is the only royal estate in the world that will squirt you with water. The Wasserspiele, or trick fountains, send streams of cool water at visitors from humorously placed jets — an archbishop's idea of a joke. So make sure to wear a poncho while wandering the gardens.

Because of wind damages from previous days, we were allowed to visit the house and basement, but we couldn’t visit the garden including Hellbrunner Berg. Because of it, ticket price was € 7,60. Hellbrunner Berg will provide you with stunning views towards the city of Salzburg.

헬브룬 궁전과 대성당과 함께있는 마르쿠스 시티쿠스의 초상화 (Portrait of Markus Sittikus with Hellbrunn and the Cathedral)

초상화는 시티쿠스가 주인이라는 것을 나타낸다. 한손으로는 시티쿠스 지시하에 시작한 찰쯔부르크 대성당 건축 진행 상황을 가리키며 뒷 벽화에는 그 당시의 헬브룬 궁전을 보여준다.

The portrait presents Sitikus as the owner. He points to a picture showing the progress of the new building of Slazburg Cathedral which was started under him. On the other hand, the existing buildings of Hellbrunn Palace can be seen on the mural in the background.

The Neptune Grotto (넵튠 동굴)

넵튠 동상 밑에 있는 Germaul (마르쿠스 시티쿠스를 비평하는 사람들에 대한 조롱 조각)은 헬브룬 궁전의 상징적인 것입니다. 처음 봤을 땐 혀가 빼꼼히 나와있는 그 저 웃기는 동상이라고만 생각했는데, 어느 순간 혀가 길게 나오면서 눈동자도 막 돌아간다.

The Germaul (a mocking sculpture against critics of Marcus Sitticus) below the Netunus is the secret emblem of Hellbrunn. It looks like a funny sculpture with the tongue sticking out. But, it opens its mouth at regular intervals and at the same time it is cheekily sticks out a long red tongue at the guests and rolls its eyes.

점심을 먹을 생각으로 들렸는데 점심 메뉴로는 거의 채식위주로 조금있고 거의 다 아침 식사용이드군요. 그러나 음식 재료들은 신선했고 맛 있게 먹었는데 유명한 커푸치노는 스무스는 한데 미국식 커푸치노에 익숙한 저희들에겐 좀 약하드군요. 아마 아침 식사 장소론 좋을 것 같습니다.

식당은 아담한 분위기를 주고 종업원들은 무척 친절했습니다. 대부분의 손님들은 젊은 층이더군요. 특이한 것은 유럽 대부분 식당들이 물을 달라고 해야 되는데 이곳은 각자 가져다 마실 수 있도록 해 놓았더군요.

We stopped for the lunch,  but the menu is mostly for the breakfast, not for lunch except few vegeterian dishes. The food was freshly prepared and very good even though the famous cuppuchino is very smooth but weaker than American coppuchino. This could very excellent place for the breakfast.

It was warm and friendly place and the staff was very helpful. It look like most of customers are young people. It also provide the self serve water station while you have to ask for the water at most of other restaurants. 

햄 샌드위치는 재료도 신선하고 맛있았습니다.

The ingredients for GGR Schinken sandwitch were fresh and the sandwitch was excellent.

프로슈토 오믈렛은 맛이 괜찮았는데 같이 나온 빵은 제입에는 별로었어요.

Prosciutto Omelette was very good but the bread was not for my taste.
