Europe: 7 Cities in 23 Days - Day 9: Salzburg(2): Hellbrunn Palace (유럽: 23일 동안 7 도시 방문 - 아홉번째날: 잘츠부르크(2):헬브룬 궁전)

저희들이 잘츠부르크에서 구경할 곳들이 슐로스 헬브룬을 제외하곤 호텔에서 걸어 다닐만한 곳에 있어 할인 교통표를 구입하지 않았습니다. 그러나 각자 방문할 장소들 거리와 며칠 머물 것이냐에 따라 어느 할인 교통표가 도움이 될지 연구해 보시기 바랍니다.

Since most of places we plan to visit were in walking distance from the hotel except Schloss Hellbrunn, we did not purchase any discount tickets for public transportation. But, we suggest to study your options depending on the number rides/days you may use the public transportation.

호텔에서 먹은 아침 식사는 고급은 아니었지만 재료들이 신선하고 맛있었습니다.

Breakfast at the hotel wan't fancy, but it was fresh and tasty.

Schloss Hellbrunn (Hellbrunn Palace) 헬브룬 궁전

Hours: 9 am - 4:30, 5:30, 6:00 pm depending on month, Closed (Nov - Mar)
Tickets: 12.50 euro/adult, The Salzburg Card is valid

헬브룬 궁전의 노란 외관은 굉장히 평범해 보이고 대칭 건물이지만 방과 벽들은 매우 아름답게 장식되어있다. 그러나 잘 가꾸어진 정원들이 방보다 더 잘 알려져 있는데 그것은 세상에서 당신에게 물을 쏘는 단 하나의 왕실 궁전이기 때문일 것입니다. 와셔스펠레 (속임수 분수) 는 대주교가 장난삼아 만든 것인데 생각지 않을 때 손님들에게 물을 쏘거든요. 그래서 저희들은 우비까지 준비했는...

저희가 들린 날은 그전날 폭풍우로 나무들이 넘이지고하여 정원 관람이 안된다고 하더군요. 궁전과 지하실만 구경할 수 있었습니다. ㅠㅠ 또한 헬브루너버그에서 보는 찰쯔부르크 경치가 좋다고하는데 못 을라갔네요.. 표 값은 깍아주었지만 (7,60 유로)

The yellow exterior of Hellbrunn is simple and symmetrical while the rooms and walls including the octagonal music room are beautifully decorated. However, the well maintained gardens take much attention from the actual house since it is the only royal estate in the world that will squirt you with water. The Wasserspiele, or trick fountains, send streams of cool water at visitors from humorously placed jets — an archbishop's idea of a joke. So make sure to wear a poncho while wandering the gardens.

Because of wind damages from previous days, we were allowed to visit the house and basement, but we couldn’t visit the garden including Hellbrunner Berg. Because of it, ticket price was € 7,60. Hellbrunner Berg will provide you with stunning views towards the city of Salzburg.

헬브룬 궁전과 대성당과 함께있는 마르쿠스 시티쿠스의 초상화 (Portrait of Markus Sittikus with Hellbrunn and the Cathedral)

초상화는 시티쿠스가 주인이라는 것을 나타낸다. 한손으로는 시티쿠스 지시하에 시작한 찰쯔부르크 대성당 건축 진행 상황을 가리키며 뒷 벽화에는 그 당시의 헬브룬 궁전을 보여준다.

The portrait presents Sitikus as the owner. He points to a picture showing the progress of the new building of Slazburg Cathedral which was started under him. On the other hand, the existing buildings of Hellbrunn Palace can be seen on the mural in the background.

The Neptune Grotto (넵튠 동굴)

넵튠 동상 밑에 있는 Germaul (마르쿠스 시티쿠스를 비평하는 사람들에 대한 조롱 조각)은 헬브룬 궁전의 상징적인 것입니다. 처음 봤을 땐 혀가 빼꼼히 나와있는 그 저 웃기는 동상이라고만 생각했는데, 어느 순간 혀가 길게 나오면서 눈동자도 막 돌아간다.

The Germaul (a mocking sculpture against critics of Marcus Sitticus) below the Netunus is the secret emblem of Hellbrunn. It looks like a funny sculpture with the tongue sticking out. But, it opens its mouth at regular intervals and at the same time it is cheekily sticks out a long red tongue at the guests and rolls its eyes.

점심을 먹을 생각으로 들렸는데 점심 메뉴로는 거의 채식위주로 조금있고 거의 다 아침 식사용이드군요. 그러나 음식 재료들은 신선했고 맛 있게 먹었는데 유명한 커푸치노는 스무스는 한데 미국식 커푸치노에 익숙한 저희들에겐 좀 약하드군요. 아마 아침 식사 장소론 좋을 것 같습니다.

식당은 아담한 분위기를 주고 종업원들은 무척 친절했습니다. 대부분의 손님들은 젊은 층이더군요. 특이한 것은 유럽 대부분 식당들이 물을 달라고 해야 되는데 이곳은 각자 가져다 마실 수 있도록 해 놓았더군요.

We stopped for the lunch,  but the menu is mostly for the breakfast, not for lunch except few vegeterian dishes. The food was freshly prepared and very good even though the famous cuppuchino is very smooth but weaker than American coppuchino. This could very excellent place for the breakfast.

It was warm and friendly place and the staff was very helpful. It look like most of customers are young people. It also provide the self serve water station while you have to ask for the water at most of other restaurants. 

햄 샌드위치는 재료도 신선하고 맛있았습니다.

The ingredients for GGR Schinken sandwitch were fresh and the sandwitch was excellent.

프로슈토 오믈렛은 맛이 괜찮았는데 같이 나온 빵은 제입에는 별로었어요.

Prosciutto Omelette was very good but the bread was not for my taste.

기차 여행으로 피곤함을 좀 쉬고 모차르트와 영화 "사운드 오브 뮤직" 촬영장소로 알려진 시가지를 둘러 보기로 했습니다.
For sightseeing after a rest from train ride and to feel the city known for Mozarts and movie location for "Sound of Music".

어디가나 지하 보도의 낙서들은 어떻게 할 수가 없네요.
Any where we go, the graffiti in the pedestrian underpass is universal display.

Mozarts Geburtshaus (Birthplace) (모차르트 생가)
Hour: 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. extended hours in July and August
Fee: 10 euros/adults

모차르트 생가는 구시가지의 게트라이데가쎄 (Getreidegasse) 9번지에 있으며 모차르트는 이 집 3층에서 태어났습니다. 지금은 가족들과 관련된 물건들과 모차르트가 사용했던 여러 악기들이 전시되어 있는 기념관으로 사용되고 있다.

Mozarts Geburtshaus is located at No 9 Getreidegasse in the old town and he was born on the 3rd floor of this house. It is now used as a museum displaying the artifacts from his family including his childhood violin.

St. Blaise's Church (성 블레이세 성당)

1327년에 프레데릭 3세 대주교 제의에 의해 잘츠부르크 시민을 위한 병원이 설립 됐고 1330년에 건축한 교회는 장식품이 거의 없고 병원과 아주 긴밀하게 연계되어있다. 성당은 게트라이데 거리 끝에 있다.

Archbishop Frederick III proposed a civic hospital to be built for the citizens of Salzburg in 1327. The church, built in 1330, is plain and closely affiliated with the hospital. The church is located at the end of Getreidegasse.


Gstättentor (그슈타텐토르)

잘츠부르크를 외부에서 보호하기 위해 세워진 많은 문들 중 하나인데 그 중 가장 오래된 문 중의 하나가 그슈타텐토르 입니다. 이 문은 가장 오래된 13세기의 성벽의 일부를 포함하고 있지만 17세기에 프린스 대주교인 마르쿠스 시티쿠스에 의해 강화되고 확장되었습니다. 마르쿠스 시티쿠스 문장이 문 양쪽에 새겨져 있습니다.

A number of ancient gates locked Salzburg to outside intruders. One of the oldest is the Gstättentor Gate which is located next to the St. Blaise's Church. This gate includes parts of Salzburg′s oldest city walls from the 13th century, but it was extended and fortified more heavily under Prince Archbishop Markus Sittikus in the 17th century. The coat of arms of Sittikus can still be seen on both sides of the gate.

Marienbrunnen (마리아와 애기 분수)

마리아와 애기 분수 (Marienbrunnen)는 그슈타텐토르 옆 Anton Neumayr 광장에있는 분수입니다. 분수대는 육각형 분지에 있으며 중앙에는 아기를 안고 있는 마리아 조각상이 있습니다

The Marienbrunnen is a fountain in Anton Neumayr public square near Gstättentor. The fountain sits on a hexagonal basin and in the centre, there is a sculpture of Mary with child.

밤이 너무 늦어져 "하늘의 공간" 방문은 취소하게 됩습니다.

It was getting late and we had to give up the visit to Sky Space.

페어데슈베메 (Pferdeschwemm)

카라얀 광장은 뮌흐스베르크 절벽 밑에 있는데 잘츠부르크에 태어나 유명한 지휘자 헤르베르트 폰 카라얀 이름을 따서 명명 되었다. 원래는 프린스 대주교의 퍼레이드 용 말들을 씻는 곳이었다. 말 길들이는 사람 동상과 연못 뒤의 독특한 말 벽화들이 그 당시의 관습을 보여줍니다. 이곳이 영화 "사운드 오브 뮤직"에서 마리아와 트랩 아이들이 경탄하던 곳 입니다.

Karajan Square sits at the foot of the Mönchsberg cliffs. The square was named after famous Salzburg-born conductor Herbert von Karajan. It was originally used as a place to wash the parade horses of the prince-archbishops. The statue of the “Horse Tamer” and the unique frescoes on the back wall of the Horse Pond evoke some of the customs of that time. Maria and the Trapp children marvel at the famous square in “Sound of Music” movie.

1992년 잘츠부르크 조각가 롯데 랜 프트 (Llotte Ranft)가 만든 자전거 타는 사람이라는 청동 조각상은 Makartsteg 다리 서쪽에 있습니다. 자전거에 기대 하늘을 보며 즐기는 모습입니다.

The bronze statue of Radfahrer Sculpture was created by Salzburg sculptor Lotte Ranft in 1992. The sculpture depicts a cyclists leaning against his bicycle with their head raised toward the sky as if enjoying the sun. It is located at the western bank of Makartsteg.

헤르베르트 폰 카라얀 동상 (Herbert Von Karajan Statue)

35 년 동안 베를린 필 하모닉의 상임 지휘자였던 Herbert von Karajan 를 경의하여 잘츠부르크 Makartsteg 다리 서쪽에 있는 그의 출생지 정원에 세워져 있습니다. 

Herbert Von Karajan Statue statue stands in tribute to Herbert von Karajan, an Austrian conductor and best known for having been the principal conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic for 35 years. This statue is located in the garden of his birthplace in the western bank of Makartsteg.

호텔 종업원이 자기가 자주 가는 맛있는 월남 식당이라고하여 들리기로 했습니다. 국수 집인데 원하는 재료들을 고르면 복은 국수나 물 국수로 만들어 줍니다. 저희들 입맛엔 좀 생소해서인지 별로 드라고요. 재료는 영어나 다른 말로 표기된것이 없어 그림보고 시켰습니다.

The hotel staff told us that he frequents this Vietnam restaurant and the food is really good. You pick the ingredients you want with your order, then they make it as fried or soup based depending on your preference. The food was different than the Vietnamese food we know and it wasn't as good as we hoped. The menu is not available any other languages and we had to guess from the pictures of ingredient.

호텔 건물은 낡았지만 투숙하는 데는 아무 문제가 없었습니다. 방들은 조용했고 편하게 지냈으며 저희들이 구경하러 다니기에는 편리한 장소 였습니다. 이곳도 역시 샤워장 칸막이가 투명 유리로 되어있더군요. 방에 선풍기나 AC 가 없는 것이 여름에 들린다면 어떻게 해야하나 하는 생각이 들더군요.

The hotel was an old building, but we did not have any problem. It was quiet and comfortable and near the places we wanted to visit. It also had a clear divider for shower. We did not see any fan or AC and we are not sure what we would do if we visited in the summer.
