밴쿠버 수족관 (3*)

Vancouver Aquarium (3*)

At 60 years old, the Vancouver Aquarium is Canada's largest aquarium which is home to more than 70,000 creatures. Widely respected for its research and marine conservation, the aquarium presents the marine wildlife of the West Coast and the Pacific Ocean. Don't miss the seals, sea lions, sea otters and walruses! It should be noted that all animals living at the aquarium were either born in captivity or were rescued and unable to survive on their own in the wild.

우리는 수족관 내 카페에서 점심 식사를 했습니다. '포켓 피라냐(Pocket Piranha, 14.00 CAD)'와 '피시 타코(Fish Taco, 18.00 CAD)'를 주문했는데, 기대했던 것보다 훨씬 맛이 좋았습니다.

We had lunch at the aquarium cafe. We ordered Pocket Piranha (CD $14.00) and Fish Taco (CD $18.00). They were better than we expected.

클리블랜드 댐 (3*)

1954년에 건설된 클리블랜드 댐은 광역 밴쿠버 지역의 상당 부분에 신선한 식수를 공급하는 카필라노 호수를 가로막고 있습니다. 300피트 길이의 여수로(spillway)는 670 에이커 규모의 인공 호수인 카필라노 호수의 물을 담아두는 역할을 합니다. 카필라노 호수와 '더 라이온스(The Lions)' 봉우리들로 이루어지는 배경은 매우 아름답습니다. 바쁜 일상 속에서 평온함을 찾고 계신다면, 이 공원에 조성된 산책로를 거닐어 보시기를 추천합니다.

Cleveland Dam (3*)

Cleveland Dam, built in 1954, blocks Capilano Lake which supplies the fresh drinking water for much of the Greater Vancouver region. The 300 feet spillway holds back the 670-acre man-made Capilano Lake. Capilano Lake and the peaks of the Lions provide a spectacular backdrop. If you are looking for the tranquility from the busy daily life, we recommend the trail at the park.

Empire Seafood (2*)

호텔 직원의 추천을 받아 'Kirin'이라는 중식 해산물 레스토랑을 방문했으나, 이곳은 평일 점심 식사조차도 예약이 필수였습니다. 그래서 차선책으로 선택한 곳은 바로 'Empire Seafood' 레스토랑이었습니다.

식당 직원분은 이곳의 음식이 홍콩 스타일이라고 설명해 주었지만, 우리가 평소 집에서 맛보던 것과는 다소 차이가 있었습니다. '미니 게 집게발 튀김(Deep Fried Mini Crab Claws, C$ 19.95)'은 목을만 했지만, '블랙 트러플 양념 치킨(Marinated Chicken with Black Truffle, C$ 18.75)'은 먹다 보니 다소 느끼하게 느껴졌습니다. 왠지 모를 이유로, '새콤달콤한 오이 요리(Cucumber with Sweet Vinegar, C$ 14.75)'는 음식이 나오기까지 꽤 오랜 시간이 걸렸습니다. 만약 이 새콤달콤한 오이 요리가 조금 더 일찍 나왔더라면, 블랙 트러플 양념 치킨의 맛을 한층 더 살려주었을 텐데 하는 아쉬움이 남았습니다.

Empire Seafood (2*)

With the suggestion from staff at the hotel, we visited Kirin Chinese seafood restaurant, but you have to have the reservation even for lunch on weekdays. Our next choice was Emperial Seafood restaurant.

The staff at the restaurant told us that the food is Hong Kong style, but it was different from what we tasted at home. Deep Fried Mini Crab Claws (CD $19.95) was good, but Marinated Chicken with Black Truffle (CD $18.75) felt greasy as we ate. For a strange reason, it took a long time before we got served with Cucumber with Sweet Vinerger (CD $14.75). Marinated Chicken with Black Truffle could have been better with Cucumber with Sweet Vinerger.

네메시스 커피 개스타운 (3*)

네메시스 커피 개스타운은 밝은 색감의 원목 인테리어와 거대한 창문이 어우러져, 햇살 가득하고 포근한 분위기를 자아내는 카페입니다. 이 식당은 가벼운 간식을 즐기거나 여유로운 식사를 할 수도 있지만, 무엇보다도 핵심은 커피입니다. 커피 원두는 주기적으로 바뀌는 다양한 스페셜티 로스터리들로부터 엄선하여 공급받습니다. 저희가 주문한 모르타델린 슈프림 (CD$ 12.50), Cruffin(Mixed Berry) (CD$ 6.50), 블루베리 치즈케이크 데니쉬 (CD$ 7.25), 더블 베이크드 크루아상 (아몬드) (CD$ 6.50), 아메리카노 (CD$ 4.75), 그리고 말차라떼 (CD$ 7.00)는 전부 신선하고 맛있었습니다.

Nemesis Coffee Gastown (3*)

Nemesis Coffee Gastown is a bright, blond-wooded café with huge windows that create a sunny, welcoming room. You may have a quick snack or a leisurely meal; but coffee is a focus, sourced from a rotating range of specialty roasters. Mortadeline Supreme (CD$ 12.50), Cruffin (Mixed Berry)(CD$ 6.50), Blueberry Cheesecake Danish (CD$ 7.25), Double Baked Croissant (Almond) (CD$ 6.50), Americano (CD$ 4.75), and Matcha Latte (CD$ 7.00) we got were all fresh and excellent.

빅토리 스퀘어와 전몰자 기념비 (3*)

The cenotaph was designed by G.L.T. Sharp and unveiled in 1924 to approximately 25,000 people. It has since been the location of an annual Remembrance Day ceremony, making it the longest continuously running ceremony in Vancouver.

밴쿠버의 발상지인 개스타운은 1867년 선원이자 금광 탐사자였던 존 "개시 잭" 데이튼이 세운 주점을 중심으로 형성된 정착지였습니다. 이 유서 깊은 지역의 자갈길에는 빅토리아 시대 건물들이 늘어서 있으며, 오늘날에는 기념품 가게, 원주민 갤러리, 세련된 의류 부티크 등 다양한 상점들이 자리하고 있습니다. 거리 곳곳에 건물과 랜드마크의 역사를 알려주는 안내판이 설치되어 있어 도보 여행에 안성맞춤입니다.밤에 가장 좋습니다원형 램프와 나무를 장식한 요정 전구 덕분에 아름다운 분위기를 자아냅니다. 하지만 많은 리뷰어들은 밤에는 이곳을 피하는 것이 좋다고 조언합니다.

개스타운에는 세계 최초의 증기 시계가 있으며, 이 시계는 현재 도시에서 가장 사진이 많이 찍히는 명소 중 하나입니다.

Gastown

The birthplace of Vancouver, Gastown was initially a settlement that sprung up around a tavern founded in 1867 by sailor and gold prospector John "Gassy Jack" Deighton. This historic district's cobblestone streets are lined with Victorian buildings that today house everything from souvenir shops and First Nations galleries to stylish clothing boutiques. With informational plaques placed strategically along the street to tell the history behind various buildings and landmarks, Gastown is an excellent area for a walking tour. It looks best at night due to the circular lamps and fairy lights adorning the trees. But, many reviewers also suggest to avoid the place at night.

Gastown is also home to the world's first steam-powered clock, now one of the city's most photographed attractions.

항공사 파업 때문에 우리는 밴쿠버에 며칠 더 머물게 되었습니다. 친구의 비행기 출발에 앞서 평이 좋은 Nonggengji 식당에서 저녁 식사를 했습니다.

Nonggengji 레스토랑 (2*)

4200번지 3번 도로, 리치먼드, BC

매장은 널찍했고, 이른 저녁 시간임을 감안하면 꽤나 북적이는 편이었습니다. 고추 돼지고기 볶음 (CD $24.99)은 괜찮은 편이었으나, 아주 훌륭하다고까지는 할 수 없었습니다. 후난식 닭고기 볶음 (CD $32.99)은 실망스러웠습니다. 고추가 대부분으로 맛은 매우 매웠지만, 정작 닭고기는 찾아보기 힘들 정도였습니다. 드라이 팟 양배추 볶음 (CD $15.99)은 아무런 맛이 없었던 반면, 콜리플라워 볶음 (CD $18.99)은 무난했습니다. 좋은 평들이 많았던 곳이라 기대가 컸는데, 그에 비하면 실망스러운 식사였습니다.

Because of the airline strike, we ended up staying in Vancouver for an extra few days. We had dinner at Nonggengji Restaurant with a very good reputation before the friend’s flight.

Nonggengji Restaurant (2*)

The place was big and relatively busy considering the early dinner hour. Stir-fried Pork with Peppers (CD $24.99) was good, not excellent. Hunan-style Stir-fried Chicken (CD $32.99) was disappointing. It was mostly peppers and very spicy, but you have to search for chicken. Dry Pot Sautéed Cabbage (CD $15.99) had no taste while Stir-fried Cauliflower (CD $18.99) was ok. It was a disappointment considering their good reviews.

리치몬드 야시장 (2*)

리치몬드 야시장은 캐나다 브리티시컬럼비아주 리치몬드에서 매년 여름철에 열리는 야시장입니다. 주말에 운영되며 200개가 넘는 노점이 입점해 있고, 캐나다 라인 브리지포트역 근처 리버 록 카지노 리조트 옆에서 개최됩니다. 야시장에서 판매되는 상품은 주로 아시아에서 수입되며, 일반 소매점보다 가격이 저렴하다는 평을 받기도 합니다. 하지만 저희가 직접 가본 결과 상품의 품질은 다소 떨어지는 편이었습니다. 대부분의 상점이 현금만 받기 때문에 현금을 준비하는 것이 좋습니다.

Richmond Night Market (2*)

The Richmond Night Market is an annual night market which is held during the summer months in Richmond, British Columbia in Canada. It runs on weekends with over 200 stalls and is held near Bridgeport Station of the Canada Line next to River Rock Casino Resort. The merchandise sold at the night market is primarily imported from Asia and considered by some to be of a lower price point than traditional retail stores. However, we found the merchandise was lacking in quality. Bring cash since most merchants only accept cash only.

브리티시컬럼비아 대학 로즈 가든 (3*)

UBC 장미 정원은 1949년에 조성되었으며, 6월부터 9월까지 12종이 넘는 장미가 만개합니다. 주차장 옥상에 위치한 이 정원은 어쩌면 최고의 옥상 정원이라고 할 수 있을지도 모릅니다. 이곳에서는 탁 트인 바다와 산의 경치를 감상할 수 있습니다.

UBC Rose Gardens (3*)

The UBC Rose Garden was established in 1949 and contains more than a dozen types of roses blooming between June and September. The garden is found on the top of a parkade, maybe the ultimate rooftop garden? Its location offers panoramic ocean and mountain views.

Nitobe Memorial Garden

Nitobe Garden is considered to be the one of the most authentic Japanese gardens in North America and among the top five Japanese gardens outside of Japan. The garden was designed by Professor Mori from Chiba University in Japan. The exquisite work of art was created out of two-and-a-half acres of pristine forest by landscape architects and gardeners recommended by the Government of Japan. Nitobe Garden includes a rare authentic Tea Garden with a ceremonial Tea House.

Each tree, stone and shrub has been deliberately placed and is carefully maintained. Some maple and cherry trees and most of the azaleas and iris were brought from Japan. Some maple and cherry trees and most of the azaleas and iris were brought from Japan.

The journey through the garden is meant to symbolize a journey through time. The time period could be as short as a day or as long as a lifetime, depending on the traveller's interpretation. A forty-five-minute walk is recommended in order to fully appreciate the symbolism. Beside traveling around the perimeter of the pond, there are other paths that cross from one point on the main path to another. These alternate pathways could symbolize a different route in life.

UBC Botanical Garden - Greenheart TreeWalk

UBC Botanical Garden was founded in 1916 by John Davidson, the first provincial botanist of British Columbia, and is the nation's first university botanic garden. The garden's original purpose was to do research on British Columbia's indigenous flora.

Highlights of the garden include internationally renowned magnolia and maple collections. Explore the amazing Asian garden, which has more than 400 different varieties of rhododendrons, the alpine garden, the native rainforest garden, the traditional physic garden, which is bursting with herbs, the food garden, which will teach you how to grow food, and much more.

그린하트 트리워크는 숲 바닥에서 아주 높이 떨어진 공중 산책로와 나무 플랫폼을 따라 걸으며 모험심을 자극하는 곳입니다. UBC 식물원 중심부에 위치한 이 310미터 길이의 나무 꼭대기 캐노피 산책로는 수령이 100년이 넘는 거대한 더글러스 전나무, 삼나무, 그리고 그랜드 전나무에 매달려 있습니다. 숲 바닥에서 거의 20미터 높이에 달하는 이 산책로를 걸으면 밴쿠버의 아름다운 해안 온대 우림을 조감할 수 있습니다.

다른 나무 꼭대기 캐노피 산책로 시스템과는 달리, 그린하트 트리워크는 나무나 주변의 섬세한 생태계를 손상시키지 않도록 설계 및 제작되었습니다. 따라서 이 산책로는 다른 현수교보다 다소 흔들거릴 수 있으며, 중간에 내려올 수 있는 지점이 없으므로 흔들거리는 다리에 대한 두려움이 있는 분들은 이용을 자제하시는 것이 좋습니다.

Greenheart TreeWalk

The Greenheart TreeWalk will spark your adventurous spirit as you navigate suspended walkways and tree platforms high above the forest floor. Located in the heart of UBC Botanical Garden, the 310 metre-long tree top canopy walkway hangs from huge Douglas firs, cedars and grand firs, many of which are over 100 years old. Reaching a height of nearly 20 metres above the forest floor, the walkway will give you a bird’s eye view of Vancouver’s magnificent coastal temperate rainforest.

Unlike other treetop canopy walkway systems bolted into the trees, the Greenheart TreeWalk’s design and engineering does not damage the trees or the surrounding delicate ecosystem. Hence, the walkway is more wobbly than than other suspension bridges and you should avoid it if you are afraid of wobbly swinging bridge since there is no middle get off point.

이 지역은 한때 공장, 산업 시설, 제재소 외에는 별다른 것이 없었던 곳이었습니다. 지금은 지역 주민들이 신선한 과일, 채소, 해산물과 독특한 상점들을 즐기기 위해 이곳을 찾고, 관광객들은 밴쿠버 시내 맞은편, 그랜빌 다리 아래에 위치한 그랜빌 섬을 보기 위해 방문합니다.

그랜빌 아일랜드는 아마도 지역 식품 상인과 장인들이 자신들의 상품을 판매하는 크고 활기 넘치는 퍼블릭 마켓으로 가장 유명할 것입니다. 미식가들의 천국인 이곳은 희귀 버섯, 수제 치즈, 홈메이드 샤퀴테리, 신선한 생선을 찾는 1,200만 명이 넘는 방문객을 맞이합니다.

검토:

흥미로운 곳이긴 하지만 관광객이 너무 많고 음식은 비싸고 좀 과대평가된 것 같아요. 토요일에 그랜빌 아일랜드에 갔었는데 주차가 정말 끔찍했어요.

Granville Island Public Market – some places are cash only

This area was once home to little more than factories, industrial plants and sawmills. Now, while locals come here for the Fresh Fruit, Vegetables and Seafood and the unique shops, tourists and visitors come here to see this Granville Island which is located across from downtown Vancouver, under the Granville Bridge.

Granville Island is perhaps most famous for its large and bustling Public Market, where local food vendors and artisans peddle their wares. This foodie epicenter welcomes over 12 million hungry visitors each year looking for rare mushrooms, artisanal cheeses, homemade charcuterie and fresh fish.

Review:

It is very interesting, but touristy and the food is expensive and a bit overrated. We ended up visiting Granville Island on Saturday and the parking was horrendous.

스탠리 파크 남쪽

입구 다리 아래를 지나면 바로 왼쪽에 빅토리아 여왕 기념비가 보입니다. 그 바로 오른쪽에는 밴쿠버 조정 클럽이 있습니다. 계속 직진하면 오른쪽에 물 위에 여러 척의 배들이 보이는데, 이곳이 로열 밴쿠버 요트 클럽입니다. 다음 만으로 가면 마차 투어 출발지와 스탠리 파크 안내소가 있습니다.

Stanley Park

Of all the Vancouver tourist attractions this is the best place to visit to enjoy the beauty of Canada's largest park as the season changes. You may just relax, walk, jog or run around the scenic seawall.

South-side of Stanley Park

After passing under the Entrance Bridge you will see the Queen Victoria Memorial immediately on your left. Then, immediately to your right is the Vancouver Rowing Club. Continue driving and on the right in the water you will notice all the boats. This is the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club. Continue to the next bay and you will see the Horse-drawn Carriage Tour starting location and the Stanley Park Information Booth.

Brockton Point - Totem Pole

One of Stanley Park's most fascinating attractions (and one of the most-visited tourist attractions in British Columbia) is the renowned totem-pole display at Brockton Point. The collection of totem poles in Stanley Park started in the 1920s when the Vancouver Parks Board started buying them thinking that they would eventually build a replica First Nations village in Stanley Park. Some of these original totem poles were carved as early as the 1880s. Because they are made of wood they will continue to deteriorate because of the weather. By the mid-1980s, many of the totem poles in Stanley Park were damaged and rotting. Some of the damaged poles were put into museums for preservation and replicas carved.

브록턴 포인트 등대는 해안 방벽을 따라 여러 지점에서 볼 수 있지만, 등대 꼭대기에서 바라보는 풍경이야말로 공원에서 가장 아름다운 경치 중 하나입니다. 이 유서 깊은 건물은 1914년부터 지금까지 자리를 지키고 있습니다. 근처에 있는 '9시 대포'에 주의하세요. 이 대포는 매일 저녁 9시에 (안전하게 전자식으로) 발사됩니다. 1894년 영국에서 들여온 이 대포는 선원들이 크로노미터를 맞추고 어부들에게 조업 금지 시간을 알리는 데 사용되었습니다.

Brockton Point Lighthouse

The Brockton Point Lighthouse can be seen from various points along the Seawall, but it is the views offered from the point that are truly some of the best in the park. This historic building has been standing since 1914. Beware of the nearby 9 O'clock Gun, which is fired (safely and) electronically at 9pm daily. The gun was delivered from England in 1894 and was used by mariners to set chronometers and warn fishers of closings.

잠수복을 입은 소녀

해안 산책로에서 가장 독특하고 꼭 들러볼 만한 곳 중 하나는 물 위에 떠 있는 듯한 '잠수복 입은 소녀' 석상입니다. 실물 크기의 이 석상은 커다란 바위 위에 놓여 있어 만조 때는 마치 물 위에 떠 있는 것처럼 보입니다. 마침 갈매기도 함께 포즈를 취해 주네요.

A Girl in a Wetsuit

One of the Seawall's quirkiest sites and a worthwhile stop is a stone statue of a Girl in a Wetsuit floating in the water. The life-sized statue is situated atop a large boulder, so when the tide is high it almost looks as if she is floating in the water. A seagull is taking the pose with the girl.

SS 엠프레스 오브 재팬호의 선수상은 1891년 건조된 원래 여객선의 나무 선수 장식을 본뜬 화려한 색상의 유리섬유 복제품입니다. 1960년에 노후화된 원래 선수상을 대체하기 위해 설치되었으며, 원래 선수상은 현재 다른 곳에 보관되어 있습니다.밴쿠버 해양 박물관.이는 밴쿠버와 아시아 간의 역사적인 무역 관계를 상징합니다.

Figurehead of ship

The figurehead of SS Empress of Japan is a colorful, fiberglass replica of the original 1891 ocean liner's wooden bow decoration. Installed in 1960 to replace the deteriorating original which is now in the Vancouver Maritime Museum. It symbolizes Vancouver's historic trade links with Asia.

일본계 캐나다인 전쟁 기념비

1920년 4월, 캐나다를 위해 싸운 일본계 캐나다인들을 기리는 기념비가 스탠리 공원에 세워졌습니다. 돌기둥 꼭대기에는 일본식 등불이 설치되었고, 영구적으로 불을 밝히도록 계획되었습니다. 그러나 1942년 진주만 공격과 일본과의 전쟁으로 일본계 캐나다인들이 강제 수용되면서 등불은 꺼졌습니다. 그리고 1985년에 다시 불을 밝혔습니다.

Japanese Canadian War Memorial

In April 1920, a monument commemorating Japanese Canadians who fought for Canada was erected in Stanley Park. The stone column was topped with a Japanese-style lamp. It was intended to stay permanently lit. The light was extinguished in 1942 when attacks on Pearl Harbour and war with Japan led to the internment of Japanese Canadians. It was re-lit in 1985.

신선한 옥수수 튀김, 에비 마요, 바삭한 치킨 가라아게, 그리고 돌판 와규 구이를 주문했습니다. 음식 맛은 훌륭할 정도까지는 아니었지만 괜찮았고, 식사를 즐겁게 마쳤습니다. 예약 없이 방문한 탓에 한동안 기다려야 했습니다.

Ordered Deep Fried Fresh Corn, My Ebi-Mayo, Crispy Chicken Karaage and Stone Grilled Wagyu Beef. The food was good, not excellent, but we enjoyed the our meal. We had to wait for a while without reservation.

We tried Cookies and Cream Bingsu (CD $17.00) and Injeolmi Binhgsu (CD $16.50). They were good enough to cool us down after the long walk in the Stanly park.

크루즈 선박이 밴쿠버에서 출발 예정이라 이번 기회에 밴쿠버 지역을 관광할 예정입니다. 게다가 캐나다 항공사의 파업 사태 덕분에, 크루즈 여행을 마친 후에도 밴쿠버에서 며칠을 더 머물게 되었습니다.

Since the cruise ship is leaving from Vancouver, we used this occasion to spend additional time to tour Vancouver. Thanks to the strike at Canada airline, we ended up extra few days in Vancouver after the cruise.

밴쿠버 공항/Vancouver airport

밴쿠버 공항에서 입국 심사와 세관 절차를 마치는 데 예상보다 시간이 덜 걸렸습니다. 하지만 공항에서 시내까지 우버를 타고 가는 데 퇴근 시간도 아닌데 거의 50분이 걸렸습니다. 가방이 많지 않다면 목적지에 따라 기차를 타는 것이 더 빠를 수도 있습니다. 저희는 크루즈 여행 후 워터프런트 역 (항구 역)에서 공항까지 기차를 탔는데, 편리하고 빨랐습니다.

It took less time than expected to go through the immigration/customer at the Vancouver airport. But the ride to downtown from the airport by Uber took almost 50 minutes. It wasn’t even rush hour. If you don’t carry multiple begs, it may be faster to take the train depending on where you need to go. We took the train from the waterfront station after the cruise to the airport, and it was convenient and faster.

다운타운 웨스트 조지아 스트리트 1111번지

크루즈 체크인 전에 반납하기가 더 쉬울 것 같아서 시내 중심가에서 렌터카를 빌리기로 했습니다. 그런데 사무실이 고층 건물 안에 있고 외부 창문에 작은 간판 하나만 있어서 영업소 찾기가 쉽지 않았습니다. 직원 한 명이 여러 손님을 응대하고 있어서 좀 기다려야 했지만, 렌터카 대여 절차 자체는 문제없이 빨리 진행되었습니다. 차를 반납하려면 건물 옆 골목으로 들어가서 차고 입구 표지판을 찾으면 됩니다. 반납 장소는 지하 4층입니다.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car (4*)

We decided to rent a car from the downtown area since it would be easier to return it before we checked in for the cruise. It wasn’t easy to locate the office since it was inside an office building with only a small sign on the outside window..We had to wait since one poor staff member was serving a number of customers, but the actual rental process itself went without any problem. To return the car, you need to drive into the alley next to the building and watch for the garage entrance sign. The place to return the car is 4th floor underground.

차이나타운을 구경하다가 저녁 식사 예약 시간까지 시간이 남아서 잠시 쉬려고 이 식당에 들렀습니다. 식당은 화려하진 않았지만 높은 천장 등 편안한 분위기였습니다. 서비스도 아주 좋았습니다. 웨이터가 추천해 준 미트볼과 치즈 & 고기 모듬(CD$ 34)은 정말 훌륭했습니다. 다른 메뉴들은 어떨지 기대하며 나왔습니다.

참고로, 차이나타운 지역은 밤에는 돌아다니지 않는 것을 권장합니다. 낮에도 노숙자들이 거리에 많은 것이 안전하지 않다고 느꼈습니다.

After walking around Chinatown, we stopped here for a short rest since we still had the time to kill until our dinner reservation. The restaurant was not fancy, but it gave a relaxing feel.with a high ceiling. The service was very good. The meatball dish and cheese and meat board (CD$ 34) the server suggested were excellent. We left wondering how other dishes may taste.

Note that we don’t recommend venturing out the Chinatown area at night. We did not feel comfortable even in the afternoon with a lot of street people in the area.

프놈펜 레스토랑은 밴쿠버에서 매우 유명하고, 거의 명소나 다름없어서 꼭 한번 가보고 싶었습니다. 당일 예약은 가능했지만, 그래도 두 시간을 기다려야 했습니다.

프놈펜 레스토랑(Phnom Penh Restaurant)(3*)

리뷰어들이 가장 많이 추천한 메뉴인 닭 날개, 굴전, 양념 버터 소고기(생으로 제공), 그리고 룰락 덮밥 위에 얹은 소고기 안심을 주문했습니다. 음식은 빨리 나왔고, 전반적으로 다른 곳보다 더 정통적인 맛이었습니다. 전체적으로 음식은 괜찮았지만, 개별 메뉴는 다른 곳에서 더 맛있었던 기억이 있습니다.

Phnom Penh Restaurant is well known, more like an institution, in Vancouver and we had to try it. We were able to get the reservation on the same day, but it was still two hour wait.

We ordered the dishes recommended by most reviewers: chicken wings, oyster pancake, marinated butter beef (served raw), and filet beef Lulc lac on rice. The food was served quickly and in general the foods were more authentic than other places. The food was good overall, but we had better food of individual dish at other places.

포인트 그레이 게스트 하우스 (4*)

밴쿠버 방문 기간 동안 빈 방이 있는지 문의하는 전화 메시지를 남겼는데, 얼마 지나지 않아 주인분께서 연락을 주셨습니다. 주인분께서는 각 방의 장단점을 친절하게 설명해 주셔서 숙소를 선택하는 데 큰 도움이 되었습니다. 도착해서 방들을 보니 주인분의 설명이 정확했습니다. 방들은 아름답게 꾸며져 있었고 침대도 편안했습니다. 도시를 구경하느라 아름다운 정원이나 서재를 제대로 즐길 시간은 없었지만, 집은 매우 조용했습니다.

Point Grey Guest House (4*)

We left a phone message asking if there were any vacancies during our visit to Vancouver, and the owner contacted us shortly after. The owner was very helpful in explaining the pros and cons of each room. It helped us make our choice. Upon arrival, we saw the rooms and found the owner's descriptions very accurate. The rooms were beautifully decorated, and the beds were comfortable. We were so busy exploring the city that we didn't have time to enjoy the beautiful garden or library, but the house was very quiet.
