남한 일주 다섯째날-2 통영옻칠미술관, 이순신공원 : (Trip Around South Korea Day 5-2: Tongyeong Ottchil Art Museum, Yi Sun-sin Park, and Dipirang)

통영옻칠미술관

입장시간: 10 AM - 5 PM (6 PM, 3월-10월) 월 휴무

입장료: 3000원, 만 65 이상 1500원

옻나무는 우리나라를 비롯해서 동남아시아 일부에서만 자란다고 합니다. 그래서 다른 나라에선 전혀 그 존재를 모르는 강도, 광택, 내열, 방수, 방충까지 완벽해서 2천년 전에 만들어진 옻칠 칠기들이 그대로의 색감과 형태를 유지한다고 합니다. 그 옻칠에 나전(조개껍데기)을 입혀서 독특한 물성으로 완성한 옻칠 회화! 어느 예술이던지 수고로움과 정성은 말로 표현할 수 없는 거지만, 옻칠은 그 과정부터 남다르고 알고 보니 작품 하나하나 정말 다르게 감동적이었어요.

이 옻칠 미술관을 자비로 마련하시고 세계적으로 우리 옻칠 회화를 알리신 옻칠 예술의 대가 김성수 관장님은 정말 대단하시고 참 자랑스러운 분입니다. (평점 4*)

It is said that lacquer trees grow only in parts of Southeast Asia, including Korea. Its characteristics of strength, gloss, heat resistance, waterproofing, and insect resistance are completely unknown in other countries. It is amazing that lacquerware made 2,000 years ago maintains the same color and shape. Lacquer painting, created by coating lacquer with mother-of-pearl (shell inlay) to create a unique material! The painstaking work and dedication required for any art form are indescribable, but lacquerware is truly unique from the very beginning, and upon learning more, each piece was truly unique and deeply moving.

Director Kim Seong-su, a master of lacquer art who built this lacquer art museum with his own money and promoted our lacquer paintings around the world, is truly an amazing and proud person. (Review 4*)

이순신공원

경남 통영시 해미당1길 33

이순신공원은 충무공 이순신장군의 애국애족정신을 기리고 거룩한 호국의 얼과 뜻을 기념하기 위해 세워진 공원으로 본래는 한산대첩기념공원이었으나, 현재는 이순신공원으로 이름이 바뀌었다. 한산대첩은 살라이스 해전, 레판토 해전, 칼레 해전, 트라팔가르 해전등 세계 역사에 남은 주요 해전 가운데 가장 값진 승리하고 일컬어지는 해전입니다.

천자총통은 조선 전기에서 후기 사이에 쓰인 청동으로 제작된 화포로 화포중 가장 큰 원거리 사격이 가능한 조선의 주력 화포 입니다. (웹 사진)

이순신 공원은 산책로를 따라 호젓이 산책하기도 좋고 풍경을 감상하며 즐기기도 좋은 곳 이었습니다. (평점 3*)

Yi Sun-sin Park

Yi Sun-sin Park was established to honor the patriotic spirit of Admiral Yi Sun-sin and commemorate his spirit of prosperity and dedication to defending his country. Originally known as the Hansan Battle Memorial Park, it has since been renamed Yi Sun-sin Park. The Battle of Hansan is considered one of the most significant naval victories in world history, alongside the Battles of Salais, Lepanto, Calais, and Trafalgar.

The Cheonja Chongtong (Cheongja Chongtong) is a bronze cannon used during the early to late Joseon Dynasty, capable of firing at long range and serving as the primary weapon of Joseon. (Web photo).

Yi Sun-sin Park is a wonderful place for leisurely stroll along the trails and enjoying the scenery. (Review 3*)

숙소 근처 식당들을 찾아 보았지만 특별히 땅기는 곳도 없고 비오는 저녁에 식당 찾아다니는 것이 뭐해 숙소 앞에 있는 딱!분식에서 저녁을 해결하기로 했습니다.

비오는 날 따뜻한 감자손수제비 (7,000원)과 라면 (4,000원)은 제격이었습니다.

We looked for restaurants near the hotel, but none was any particularly appealing. Since it was a rainy evening and we didn't want to bother looking for a parking place, we decided to have dinner at Tak! Bunsik, located across from the hotel.

The hot potato dumplings (7,000 won) and ramen (4,000 won) were perfect for a rainy day.

그리고 비 중에 보는 디피랑도 흥미 있을 것 같아 방문하기로... 

And we thought it would be interesting experience to visit to see the Dipirang in the rain...

남망산 디지털 피랑이라는 뜻의 디피랑은 낮의 자연 산책로를 밤의 디지털 산책로로 바꿔 통영의 또 하나의 랜드마크로 만들어 놓은 곳입니다다. 2020년 10월 16일 문을 연 디피랑에 총 15개의 콘텐츠로 만들어져있는 산책로들은 빛의 아름다움에 스토리텔링을 체험할 수 있는 공간입니다.

통영의 대표 여행지 동피랑과 서피랑은 2년마다 벽화를 바꾼다고 한다. 디피랑은 이곳에서 사라진 벽화들이 다시 살아 움직인다는 이야기를 담은 미디어 쇼를 선보이고 있다 (평점 4*)

Dipirang, meaning "digital pirang of Nammangsan Mountain," transforms the daytime nature trail into a digital trail at night, creating another landmark in Tongyeong. Opened on October 16, 2020, Dipirang features 15 different content-rich trails, offering a space for experiencing storytelling through the beauty of light.

Dongpirang and Seopirang, two of Tongyeong's most popular tourist destinations, change their murals every two years. Dipirang presents a media show that tells the story of the murals once lost, coming back to life. (Review 4*)
