Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (암스텔담 공항)
암스텔담 공항에서 갈아 탈 비행기를 기다리는 동안 몆가지 구경할 것이 있다고하여 기대를 했는데 포기 했습니다. 공항이 지역으로 나누어져 있는데 지역을 통과할 때 마다 보안 검사소를 거쳐야 하는데 비행 시간까지 올 수 있는지 자신이 없어 포기 했습니다. 그대신 간단히 점심을 하기로 했습니다. 별로 입맛을 끄는 것이 없어 그나마 우동이 무난할 것 같아 주문했는데 원래 우동 맛하곤 저리가라내요.
During the layover at the Amsterdam airport, we planned to visit few things at the airport, but we had to give up. The airport is divided into the regions and you have to go through the security check between some of the regions. We weren't quite sure if we could come back in time to catch the connection flight. We decide to have a light lunch. There wasn't any food which triggered our interest. We figured the Udong couldn't go terribly wrong, but it did.

Uber is available only in Prague and it is a good option to travel to city center from the airport. From terminal 2, go to the departure area. The pick area is in front of Exit D. After the check in at the AirBnb place near the old town square, we headed out to visit the Memorial to the Victims of Communism and Petrin Hill. The first art piece we came across on the street was "One Leg Man Sitting On the Bench". A bronze sculpture of a man sits on the bench watching the passerbys. We could not find any information on this sculpture.

나로드니 길 쪽으로 벽에서 손이 나와 잡을 것 같은 동판에 밸뱃 혁명이 일어난 1989년 11월 17일이 새겨진 명판이 있습니다. 밸뱃 혁명은 체코슬로바키아에서 공산주의 정권이 무너진 무혈 혁명 입니다. 이 기념판은 베를린 벽이 무너지고, 공산주의가 무너지면서 체코슬로바키아가 체코 공화국이 된 8일 후 정권을 유지하려던 공산주의 순경들에 의해 희생된 학생들을 기념하기 위한 것입니다. 11월 17일은 체코 공화국 공휴일 입니다.
On Narodni Street in a small arcade is a bronze plaque showing hands reaching out from the wall, dated 17.11.1989, the date of the Velvet Revolution. It refers to a bloodless revolution in Czechoslovakia that saw the overthrow of the communist regime. This memorial is to the students who were attacked and beaten by the communist police desperately trying to hold on to power eight days after the fall of the Berlin Wall – the day 41 years of communist rule came to an end, and Czechoslovakia became the Czech Republic. 17th November is a national holiday in the Czech Republic.

Quadrio 비지네시 센터이 있는 이 꾸불꾸불하고 거울 같은 동상이 일려로 서면 체코의 유명한 소설가 프란츠 카프카의 얼굴이 나타납니다. 2014년에 세워진 이 동상은 논란이 많은 체코 조각가 제이비드 서니의 최근 "살아 움직이는 예술 작품 (kinetic art)" 이다. 큰 거울 같은 츙상은 42개의 독립된 스체인리스 강 층으로 구성 되었고 무게가 39 톤입니다. Located in the Quadrio business center, this twisting and reflective sculpture align to form the face of the famous Czech writer Franz Kafka. Installed in 2014, it is the latest kinetic artwork by controversial Czech artist David Cerny. The enormous mirrored bust is comprised of 42 independently driven layers of stainless steel and weighs in at 39 tons. The layering of objects is a common motif for Cerny who built a similar rotating head that also functions as a fountain titled Metalmorphosis. Metalmorphosis is a mirrored water fountain which was constructed at the Whitehall Technology Park in Charlotte, NC.
The Memorial to the victims of Communism is a series of statues commemorating the victims of the communist era between 1948 and 1989. It is located at the base of Petřín hill, Újezd street in the Malá Strana. The decaying statues under the light provided the eerie look. Notice the bronze strip in the center of the stairs where the statues are located. It tells the estimated number of people impacted by the Communist regime. However, the area seems a bit neglected with graffiti etc.

Found the snake sculpture on the wall of Memorial Park next to Memorial to the Victims of Communism, but we could not find any explanation for it.
공산주의에 희생된 사람들 기념비가 있는 기념 공원 끝에 가면 케이블 카를 타고 언덕 위까지 올라 갈 수가 있습니다. 다른 방법은 산책하며 걸어 올라 가는 것입니다. 정상에 가면 에펠 탑과 비슷하게 생긴 전망대, 조경된 정원, 천문대와 우크라인에서 옮겨온 나무로 지은 성 미카엘 교회 (아쉽게 못 들렸지만)가 있습니다.
페트린 전망대는 63.5 미터 높이의 제철로 만들어진 구조이며 299 계단이 있습니다. 이 전망대는 1891년에 세워졌으며 전망대 뿐만 아니라 송전탑으로도 쓰였습니다. 입장료는 4.4 유로(120 코룬) 입니다. 페트린 힐에서 보는 전경이 프라하 성에서 보는 전경보다 더 좋다고합니다.
주의할 점: 케이블 카를 사용하실 것이면 타기 전에 꼭 탑승 확인를 찍고 75분 시간 제한을 잊지마세요. 탑승 확인 증명이 없거나 시간이 초과한 표를 사용하시면 11 유로 정도릐 벌금을 물게 됩니다. 언덕 위에서는 표를 살 수 없으니 시간이 초과 했으면 걸어 내려오세요.

We found this small cafe (not remember the name) on Narodni street from Memorial to the victims of Communism and their ice cream gelato was very smooth and very tasty.

아이스크림 후식을 먼저 먹은 후 저녁 먹을 곳을 찾다 젊은 층 손님들이 많은 패스트 푸드 식당인 바케테리 식당에서 저녁을 해결해보자고 했습니다. 바삭밧가한 빵에 얹은 소고기 샌드위치 (189 코룬) 와 까망 빵에 크림 치즈와 연어를 얹은 샌드위치 (109 크론) 그리고 토마토 수프 (20 크론)를 주문했습니다. 빵 안에 여러가지 재료들을 안 집어 넣고 간단하게 만든 샌드위치 였지만 맛 있게 먹었습니다. 패스트 푸드 식당으론 아마 최고의 경험이었습니다. 하나 흠이라면 냉차 (10 크론)이 옸습니다. 이건 차가 아니라 물이더군요. 그러나 생수 값은 50 크론이에요.그리고 직원들이 외국어를 못해 주문할 때 애를 먹을 수도 있습니다. 강추.
After having the ice cream desert first , we were searching a place for dinner and we found this fast food restaurant, Bageterie Boulevar, with young crowd. We ordered the beef on crispy bread (189 CZK) and salmon with cheese cream on dark bread (109 CZK). We also ordered the tomato soup (20 CZK). We think it was the soup of the day. They were very simple sandwiches without adding a lot of ingredients, but they were very good. It was one of the best fast food experience. However, one flaw was their Ice tea (10 CZK). It was more like ice water rather than tea. The bottled water will cost you 50 CZK. One small inconvenience might be the language barrier with the staff. We highly recommend.

구시가지 근처에 있어 건물이 오래 됐지만 방들은 크고 깨끗했어요. 나중에 안 것이지만 유럽 대부분이 화장실이 작고 샤워장은 투명 유리에 아주 좁습니다. 빨리 익숙해 지셔야 할꺼에요.

Memorial to the Victims of Communism (공산주의 희생자 기념비)
공산주의 지배하에 있던 1948년부터 1989년 사이에 공산주의에 희생된 사람들을 기념하기위해 세워진 조각들 입니다. 이 조각들은 말라 스트레이나 지역 우제스드 거리 퍼트린 언덕 밑에 있습니다. 전등 불 밑에서 문어져 가는 것 같은 조각상들이 으시으시한 기분을 더하네요. 조각들이 서 있는 계단 한 가운데 지나가는 동줄에는 공산주의 하에서 희생당한 사람들의 추정된 숫자가 적혀있습니다. 역사적 상징에 비하면 이 지역은 낙서 등 방치된 느낌을 주네요.The Memorial to the victims of Communism is a series of statues commemorating the victims of the communist era between 1948 and 1989. It was getting dark and we did not venture to the top of the hill when there was almost no foot traffic in the area. But here is information for Petrin Hill.
At the end of Memorial Park from Memory to Victims of Communism, you can ride the funicular railway all the way to the top of the hill. Alternatively, you take a pleasant walk to the top of the hill. At the summit, you will find a miniature version of the Eiffel Tower, landscaped gardens, an astronomical observatory and the unusual Church of St Michael (sorry we missed), a wooden building relocated from Ukraine.
The Petřín Lookout Tower is a 63.5 meter-tall steel-framework tower with 299 steps which strongly resembles the Eiffel Tower. The Petřínská rozhledna was built in 1891 and was used as an observation tower as well as a transmission tower. The fee is 4,40 euros (120 CZK). The view from the Petrin Hill is better than that of from Prague castle.
Caution: if you decide to ride the funicular, make sure you validate the ticket before you get on and be aware of 75 minutes time limit. There is hefty (around 11 Euro) fine if you use the time expired ticket. If your ticket has run out, just walk down. You can not buy the ticket at the top of funicular.

The AirBnb place was an old building since it was in the Old Town area, but the rooms were big and clean. We realized later, but the bathroom is in general very small in Europe. The shower wall is the see through glass and very tiny. You should get used to it quickly.
