잘츠부르크 대성당은 744년에 창건되어 1598년 대화재로 소실된 후 1655년에 현재의 모습으로재건되었습니다. 아기자기한 장식들을 해놓은 다른 도시의 성당과는 달리 이곳은 흰색 계열의 밝은 대리석으로 단조롭고, 널찍널찍하게 지어졌고 참 깔끔하단 인상을 받았습니다. 그리고 이 잘츠부르크대성당은 크기 뿐만아니라 모차르트가 1779년부터 오르간을 연주했던 성당으로 유명합니다. 6월에서 9월 사이에 방문하면 매주 수요일과 일요일에 600 년 전통인 오르간 연주를 들을 수 있습니다.

Dom zu Salzburg was built in 774 and the current structure was rebuilt in 1655 after the church was destroyed by fire in 1598. Unlike other cathedrals in other cities with pretty ornaments, the cathedral interior is simple and bright with white marbles. It was big, but it was a beauty in simpleness. The cathedral is known for not only it’s size, but also known as the cathedral where Mozart played the organ since 1779. If you happen to be here from June to September, you can witness the organ recital performed every Wednesday and Sunday, which has been a tradition for over 600 years.

The Cathedral Crypt (성당 지하실)
지하실 목적은 잘츠부르크 대주교들의 무덤으로 사용되기 위한 것 입니다.
The crypt’s central purpose was to be a place of burial for deceased Salzburg archbishops.

Residenzplatz (레지덴츠 플라츠)
Residenzplatz is named after the Residenz building of the Prince-Archbishops of Salzburg, adjacent to Salzburg Cathedral. Residence Fountain in Residence Square is considered to be the most beautiful in Salzburg and the largest Baroque fountain in central Europe. It now serves as the popular venue for public events such as airing of football games, live concerts and New Year's Eve parties.

Mozartplatz (모차르트 플라츠)
볼프강 아마데우스 모차르트 기념비로 유명합니다.
This large courtyard is best known for its memorial statue of composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

호텔로 돌아오는 도중에 Kapuzinerberg 이라는 길이 있는데 사당 같은 것이 보이면서 호기심이 생기게하더군요. 그냥 무엇이 있나 가보자 했는데 길에 많은 사당들이 있고 언덕 위에서 내려다 보는 구시가지 경치가 매우 아름다웠서요. 생각지도 않던 행운이었네요.
On the way back to the hotel, the street named Kapuzinerberg made us curious with shrine. We wandered along the hill and saw shrines along the path and the view of old town was beautiful. It was unexpected surprise.

아래의 사진들은 낮에 들렸던 곳인데 저녁 먹고 산책하며 찍었는데 또 다른 풍치를 주네요.
The pictures below are the places we visited during day, but we took them during strolling after dinner. They show the charm and beauty under night lights.
전날온 폭풍우로 호엔잘츠부르크 성채 구경은 못했지만 저녁 식사와 연주회는 예정대로 한다고하여 표값 (58 유로)에 포함되어 있는 케이블카를 타고 올라 갔습니다. 식사 시간 30분 전부터 갈 수 있으니 일찍 올라 가서 구경을 하셔도 됩니다. 보통 연주회등과 같이 나오는 식사는 별로 기대를 하지 않는데 이 날 저녁은 아주 맛있게 먹었어요. 특히 토마토 수프는 일품이었습니다. 여행 중에 한번 들릴만 합니다.
Because of damages done by the high wind previous days, we could not tour the Hohensalzburg Fortress, but we were told that the dinner/concert will be on as planned. The ride for Fortress Funicular is included in the ticket (€ 58,00) and you could go up the fortress 30 minutes early. Usually the food at the dinner show isn't as good as that from restaurant, but it was pleasant surprise. Especially the tomato basil soup was the best we ever tasted. We have enjoyed the dinner. We recommend it.
식사 후 지하실에서 4 중주단 연주회가 있었는데 즐거운 시간을 가졌습니다. 지휘자이며 첼로 연주가인 티보르 베니의 선곡들도 좋았고요. 앞자리에 앉는 지정석 표를 따로 파는데 꼭 원하시지 않으면 매입하지마세요.
After the dinner, 4 quartet concert performed the selected music scores. The musics selected by Tibor Benyi, music director and cellist, were good and we had a good time. You may pay extra to sit in the front rows, but not sure it is worth it.
