Sisters Bistro (시스터스 비스트로)

구 시가지 광장에서 도보로 10분 거리에 있는 이 식당이 가격도 싸고 맛도 좋다고 소문이 자자해 부다페스트로 떠나기 전에 아침 해결을 위해 들렸습니다. 이 집은 오픈 샌드위치로 유명하다고 합니다. 햄과 계란 샌드위치가 유명하고 잘 팔리는 샌드위치라고 하는데 이유를 알았습니다. 정말 맛있어요. 양배추 샐럿 비슷한 것을 얹은 로스트 비프 샌드위치도 맛있있게 먹었고구요. 계란 샐라드와 셀러리 레물라드 샌드위치는 재료도 신선한게 맛있어요. 네 사람이 이렇게 맛있고 배부르게 먹고도 식사비가 16불 밖에 안되네요. 종업원들도 친절하고 먗분은 영어도 할 수 있어 도움이 됐습니다. 또 프라하에 온다면 꼭 다시 들려야 할 식당이네요.
The Sisters is well known in Prague as a best places to eat (cheap and tasty). It is about 10 minute walk from the Old Square. The place is known for their open sandwich (Obložené chlebíčky). Ham & Egg it is best selling sandwich and we found why. It was excellent. Roast beef with something similar to cole slaw topping was very good. Egg Salad and Cerery Remoulade was very fresh and tasty. The bill for 4 was $16.00 after the excellent breakfast. The service was friendly and the servers speak English. This will a must stop if we come back to Prague.
프라하에서 부다페스트는 시간 절약을 위해 비행기로 이동하기로 했습니다. 체코 비행사를 이용했는데 비행기가 공항 터미날 옆이 아니고 멀리 떨어저 있어 버스로 가야 하는 것과 승객들 타고 내리는 것을 비행기 뒷쪽 문을 사용하는 것 이외에는 별로 다른 것이 없었습니다. 짧은 배행 시간이었지만 승무웓들도 친철했고 기내 청소도 깨끗하게 되어 있었습니다. 그리고 기내 음식 가격표. 물이나 마시는 것도 공짜가 아님.
We decided to travel to Budapest by air to save the time. The flight by CZA was uneventful except the passengers were bused to airplane from the terminal and board the plane using the door at the tail. It was a short flight, but the flight attendants were very polite and the plane was very clean. If you are interested in purchasing the food, here is the menu. You even have to buy the drink including water on the plane.
부다페스트 공항에서 시내로 가는데 제일 싸게 갈 수 있는 것은 대중 교통을 이용하는 것이나 시내 까지 가는 직행이 없습니다. 저희들이 시내로 가는 차는 호텔에서 주선해 주어 편하게 도착했습니다. 3일 이상 호텔에 머물면 공항 가는 또는 오는 차 편을 준비해 주더군요. 공항에서 주의할 것은 유로넷 현금 자동 입출금기를 사용하지 말라고 하더군요. 수수료가 비싸다고.
Public transportation is the cheapest way to get from Airport to the City Center, but there is no direct connection by the metro or train. Our trip to hotel from the airport was arranged by the hotel we stayed. The hotel provides free ride either from or to airport if your stay is more than 3 nights. People warned us not to use Euronet ATM since its fee is horrendous.
호텔에 도착 후 아직 해질 때까지 시간이 있어 걸어서 건너 갈 수 있는 짧은 "자유의 다리(Liberty Bridge)"를 지나 겔라트 힐 지역을 구경하기로 했습니다. 이 다리는 부다페스트의 3번째 다리이자 가장 짧은 다리 입니다. 이 다리는 1896년 세계 새천년 박람회때 건축 되었고 원래 이름은 프랜시스 죠세프 다리 이었습니다.

Since there were few hours left before the sunset after we checked in at the hotel, we decided to visit the Gellert Hill area which is an easy walk across the Liberty Bridge. The bridge is the third and shortest bridge of Budapest. It was built for the Millennium World Exhibition in 1896, its original name being Francis Joseph Bridge.
Gellért Baths (겔라트 온천)
겔라트 목욕탕은 부다페스트에서 가장 큰 온천 중에 하나이며 노천 수영장, 핀란드 식 사우나 등 여러 개의 온천이 있습니다. 현 온천은 2008년에 옛날의 영광을 되 찾기 위해 개조 되었습니다. 불행하게도 저희들은 시간이 없어 쉬면서 즐길 시간이 없었습니다.
Liberty Statue (자유의 여신상)
겔러트 언덕 남쪽 동굴 교회에서 자유의 여신상으로 올라가는 잘 유지된 오솔길이 있습니다. 올라가면서 모퉁이를 돌 때마다 나타나는 경치를 즐기세요.
The statue is one of the few prominent Communist statues remaining after the transition to democracy, in part because of its iconic location overlooking the city. The statue was first erected in 1947 to commemorate the Soviet troops who lost their lives liberating the country, however the engraving was later changed so that it commemorated “all who sacrificed their lives for the independence, freedom, and prosperity of Hungary”.

When we visited the hotel's web site, we thought it may be too hip for us. However, we thought it may be fun to try it and we found that it was a good decision. The hotel was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Even though the room is small as most of European hotels,we have enjoyed our stay.
호텔 로비에 걸려 있는 그림인데 사진기 렌즈를 통해 보면 마켓 앞에 서있는 여자 사진인데 눈으로 보거나 사진으로 보면 모자익된 그림으로 보이네요.
The picture at the hotel lobby shows a lady in front of the market if you look at it through the camera lens, but it looks like mosaic picture if you see the picture with the naked eye.

Gellért Baths (겔라트 온천)
겔라트 목욕탕은 부다페스트에서 가장 큰 온천 중에 하나이며 노천 수영장, 핀란드 식 사우나 등 여러 개의 온천이 있습니다. 현 온천은 2008년에 옛날의 영광을 되 찾기 위해 개조 되었습니다. 불행하게도 저희들은 시간이 없어 쉬면서 즐길 시간이 없었습니다.

It is one of the grandest spas Budapest which includes an open-air pool (which turns into a wave pool), a Finnish sauna, and a range of other saunas and plunge pools. The whole spa was extensively renovated in 2008 to bring the baths back to their former glory. Unfortunately for us, we didn’t have the time to relax and enjoy.

There is well maintained wooded trail to Liberty Statue on the south side of the hill from the Cave Church. Enjoy the fantastic view that appears around corners while going up.
자유의 여신상은 민주화 이 후에도 남아 있는 공산주의 때의 중요한 동상 중의 하나입니다. 시가지를 내려자 보는 상징적인 이유도 있을 것입니다. 이 동상은 1947년 이 나라를 해방하면서 죽은 소련 군인들을 기념하기 위해 세워졌으나 동상에 있는 판화는 후에 헝가리의 독립, 자유와 번영을 위해 희생한 사람들을 기념한다고 바뀌었습니다.

Citadella (시타델라)
이 요새는 1854년 항가리 독립전쟁 실패후 합수부르크가 지었으며 부다페스트 전 시가를 볼 수 있는 요충지 입니다. 1956년 항가리 혁명 때에는 소련 군대가 주둔하면서 탱크들이 시가지를 폭격했습니다.
It was built as a fortress by the Habsburgs in 1854 following the failed Hungarian War of Independence. It was an important strategic point to see over all of Budapest. Soviet forces also used the fortress to control the city during the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, and tanks which were situated there fired down on the city.

동굴교회는 역사와 독특함으로 부다페스트에서 가장 흥미 있는 교회입니다. 시내에 있는 다른 고딕 교회처럼 높은 천장을 기대하지 마세요. 이 교회는 1920년도에 수도사가 자연 동굴에 세운 교회랍니다. 2차 대전 중에는 병원으로 사용되었고 피난민들의 안식처 이었지요. 전쟁이 끝난 후 공산주의 정부가 들어 서면서 수도사들을 체포하였고 수도원장은 단지 사람들을 도왔다는 죄명으로 처형되었습니다. 1951년에는 입구를 완전 봉쇄하었지만 1991년에 다시 열었습니다. 교회는 복원한 후 바울 수도사들에게 인도하었고 현재도 교회로 사용되고 있다. 교회와 옆에 있는 수도원이 100년의 역사를 가지고 있는 것 같이 보이지 않는다. 교회 앞 마당에는 교회를 들고 있는 성 스테판 동상이 있고 아름다운 자유의 다리 경치를 내려다 볼 수 있다.
The Cave church is the most interesting church with its uniqueness and history in the city. Don’t expect the vaulted ceilings like in the other Gothic churches in the city since it was built in a natural cave by monks in the 1920’s. During WWII the church served as a hospital and took in refugees from the war. After the war, the new communist government that took power arrested all the monks and the head monk executed, just for helping people. The church reopened in 1991 after it was completely sealed in 1951. The church was restored and given back to the Pauline monks and it continues to serve as a church today. With such a historic feel no one would think that the church and the adjacent monastery was built less than 100 years ago. In the little square in front of the cave there's a modern statue of St. Stephen holding a church. There are also beautiful panoramic views of Liberty Bridge.

원래는 이 식당 근처 다른 식당을 찾고 있었는데 입구를 찾지 못해 해마고 있었습니다. 이 식당 평에 손님들을 제대로 대접하지 않았다는 평이 많아 망설였지만 배가 너무 고파와 용기를 내어 들렀습니다. 저희들은 좋은 시간을 보냈습니다. 종업원들도 에의바르고 친절했고 메뉴 고르는 것도 많은 도움이 됐습니다.
We were looking for another restaurant in this neighborhood, but we could not find the entrance. We were getting hungry and decided to try this restaurant with some reservation since the reviews indicated that some of the customers were treated awful. However our experience was excellent. The staff was polite and cautious and was a great help with menu items.
첫 음식은 맹고, 무, 생강과 상추에 새우를 얹은 샐러드 (2200 Ft) 를 주문했습니다. 재료들은 신선했고 아주 맛있었습니다. 특히 소스는 처음 맛 보는 것이었는데 너무 많이 얹지 말고 약간 뿌려 먹으세요. 두번째 요리는 시금치, 메추리 알, 흑마늘로 요리한 대구요리 (3450 Ft) 였습니다. 접시 장식은 아름다웠는데 맛은 평균 정도었습니다. 세번쩨 요리는 고구마, 당근, 블랙베리로 만든 닭 요리(3759 Ft) 입니다. 이 요리는 아주 훌륭했고 고구마는 맛이 부드럽고 좋았습니다.
We ordered Lettuce Head Salad with mango, radish, ginger and prawns (2200 Ft). The ingredients were fresh and dish was very tasty. We don't know if the dressing is house dressing or not, but it was very good if you use sparingly. Second dish we tried is Cod Fish with spinach, quail egg and black garlic (3450 Ft). The presentation was very good, but the food was just ok with very unique (in good way) spinach source. The third dish we ordered was Supreme Chicken with sweet potato, carrot and blackberry (3759 Ft). The dish was awesome and the sweet potato was amazing. The potato was so smooth and tasty.

저희들이 보헴 아트 호텔 웹사이트를 보았을 때는 이 호텔이 너무 젊은 층 상대가 아닌가 우려했습니다. 그러나 나중에 저희들의 결정이 올았다고 생각합니다. 호텔은 아주 깨끗했고 침대도 편안 했습니다. 대부분의 유렵 호텔 처럼 방은 작았지만 저희들은 아주 편안하게 지냈습니다.
