마이산 탑사

태종 임금이 말의 귀와 같다 하며 마이산이라 이름 진 마이산에 들렸습니다.저희들은 벚꽃길을 걷고 싶 어 남부 주차장을 이용해서 탑사까지 걸어서 올라갔습니다. 이 코스는 탑영제를 볼 수 있고 오리배를 탈 수 있으며 평지의 산책로라서 나이 불문하고 탑사까지 쉽게 도착할 수 있습니다. 탑영제는 마이 계곡에서 흐르는 물이 고여 만들어진 호수로 맑은 날이면 숫마이봉과 암마이봉이 반영되어 빼어난 풍경을 보여줍니다.

King Taejong named Mt. Maisan saying its shape resembled a horse's ear. Since we wanted to walk along the cherry blossom road, we used the southern parking lot and walked up to Tapsa. This course allows you to view Tapyeongj and ride a duck boat if you wish. Since the trail is flat, it is an easy path to Tapsa for any age. Tapyeongje is a lake formed by the water flowing from Mai Valley, and it reflects Sutmaibong and Ammaibong on a clear day, creating an outstanding view.

호수를 지나면 돌탑 체험장이 나옵니다. 탑사가 자랑하는 돌탑을 직접 쌓아볼 수 있도록 만들어 놓은 체험장입니다. 돌탑 체험장을 지나 걷다 보면 재미 있고 예쁜 조각물들이 있습니다.

After passing the lake, you will come across the Doltap Experience Center. This is the place you may experience to stack the stones to form a stone tower as seen at Tapsa. As you walk past the Doltap Experience Center, you will see several interesting and pretty sculptures.

마이산 탑사에 들어가 돌탑을 보는 순간 대단하다는 생각이 들었습니다. 마이산 탑사는 이갑용 처사가 혼자 쌓은 80여 개의 돌탑으로 유명합니다. 돌탑들의 형태는 일자형과 원뿔형이 대부분이고 크기는 다양하다. 대웅전 뒤의 천지탑은 제일 높은 곳에 있으면서 규모 또한 가장 큰 한 쌍의 탑입니다. 이갑룡 처사가 3년 고생 끝에 1917년 완성한 탑으로 전해집니다. 보는 위치에서 왼쪽이 음탑이고, 오른쪽이 양탑인데요. 타원형으로 돌아가면서 탑을 쌓았습니다. 아름다운 천지탑은 전라북도 문화재로 지정되었습니다.

The moment you enter Maisan Tapsa and see the stone towers, you will be amazed. Maisan Tapsa is famous for the 80 stone towers that Lee Gap-yong built alone. Most of the stone towers are I-shaped or cone-shaped, and their sizes vary. The Cheonji Tower behind Daeungjeon is located at the highest point of Tapsa and largest pair of towers. It is said that Lee Gap-yong completed the towers in 1917 after three years of hard work. The towers were built in an oval shape and the one on the left is the Eumtap (Yin) and the other is the Yangtap (Yang). The beautiful Cheonjitap was designated as a cultural asset of Jeollabuk-do.

저희들은 들리지 않았지만 경사로를 따라 위쪽으로 올라가면 은수사가 있습니다. 은수사에 다녀오려면 이곳에 북쪽 매표소가 있어 먼저 구매한 입장권을 잘 보관하여야 합니다. 은수사는 이성계가 새로운 왕조를 꿈꾸며 기도를 드렸던 장소로 전해지며 기도를 마친 이성계가 증표로 심었다는 650년 이상된 청실배나무가 있습니다.

말 귀를 닮았다고 마이산이라 부르는 산의 독특함과 마이산 아래 자리 잡은 탑들은 이제 100년이 넘었는데도 아무리 거센 강풍이 불어도 절대 무너지지 않는다는 신비로운 돌탑은 가히 명소 중의 명소입니다.

We didn't visit, but you will find Eunsu Temple if you follow up the sloped trail on the right. If you want to visit Eunsu Temple, you should keep the ticket you purchased to enter Tapsa. You have to show the ticket to return at the north ticket booth. Eunsu Temple is said to be the place where Yi Seong-gye prayed while dreaming of a new dynasty. There is almost 650-year-old pear tree that Yi Seong-gye suppose to plant as a memento after finishing his prayer.

Maisan, named because it resembles a horse's ear, is the popular tourist attraction because of the uniqueness of Maisan and the mysterious stone towers. The stone towers are now over 100 years old, but they never collapse no matter how strong the wind blows.

맞은편 산 중턱에 황금색 절이 있었는데 고금당이라고 합니다.

There was a golden temple called Gogeumdang on the opposite side of the mountain.

오늘 점심은 주차장에서 부터 탑사 사이에 있는 상점에서 파는 이것 저것 먹어보느라 군것질로 대신하였습니다.

Today, we had a snack for lunch, trying a variety of things available from the parking lot to Maisan Tower.

처음 보는 마늘빵 (5000 원)이라 호기심으로 먹어보았는데 마늘향과 단맛의 속이 잘 어울리네요. 식당 내장이 넓고 테이블 사이의 간격이 넓어 편안한 감울 주었습니다.

I tried the garlic bread (5,000 won) out of curiosity because it was my first time seeing it, and the garlic flavor and sweet filling blended well together. The restaurant's interior was spacious, and the tables were spaced far apart, creating a comfortable atmosphere.

그리고 마이산 카페토박이에서 (전북 진암군 마령면 마이산남로 195) 카페라테 (5000)로 쉼을 가졌습니다.

And we took a break having a cafe latte ($3.60) at Maisan Cafe Tobak (195 Maisannam-ro, Mareung-myeon, Jinam-gun, Jeollabuk-do).

서울에서 먹어본 꽈배기가 생각나 마이산 페스츄리 꽈배기 (전라북도 진안군 마령면 마이산남로 212) 를 맛 보았는데 괜찮았네요.

Maisan Pastry Donuts (212 Maisannam-ro, Mareung-myeon, Jinan-gun, Jeollabuk-do) reminded us the donuts we had in Seoul, and they were good.

죽녹원

주차장은 죽녹원 매표소와 300m 떨어진 전남도립대 주차장 이용하고 후문쪽이 편함

죽녹원은 담양군이 조성한 16만여㎡의 대나무 정원이다. 빼곡한 대숲 사이로 산책로가 잘 정비돼 있고 인공폭포와 생태전시관, 생태연못, 찻집 등도 갖추어 있습니다. 죽림욕을 즐길 수 있는 약 2.2km의 산책로는 운수대통길ㆍ죽마고우길ㆍ철학자의 길 등 8가지 주제에 따라 꾸며졌으며, 조명시설이 잘돼 있어 야간에 걸어도 좋습니다.

숲에서 맑은 공기와 청신한 기운을 느끼며 산책이나 휴식하는 것을 산림욕이라고 하는데 이를 대나무숲에서 하는 경우에는 특별히 죽림욕(竹林浴)이라고 부른다. 대나무숲은 외부보다 온도가 4~7℃정도 낮아 시원하고 청량감을 주는데 이는 산소발생량이 높기 때문이라고 한다. 그리고 대나무숲은 스트레스해소 등 건강에 좋다고 알려진 음이온 발생량이 일반숲보다 훨씬 많은 것으로도 알려져 있다.

Parking is available at the Chonnam National University parking lot, located 300 meters from the Juknokwon ticket booth. Parking at back gate is more convenient.

Juknokwon is a bamboo garden of approximately 160,000㎡ created by Damyang-gun. The walking paths are well-maintained through the dense bamboo forest, and there are also artificial waterfalls, an ecological exhibition hall, an ecological pond, and a tea house. The walking path of approximately 2.2km where you can enjoy bamboo forest bathing is decorated according to eight themes, including Unsu-daetong-gil (great luck trail), Jukmago-gil (old friend’s trail), and Philosopher's Path. The trails are well-lit for the night walk.

Taking a walk or resting in the forest while feeling the fresh air and energy is called forest bathing. When it is done in a bamboo forest, it is called bamboo forest bathing. The temperature in a bamboo forest is 4~7℃ lower than outside. It feels cool and refreshing because the amount of oxygen produced is high. In addition, bamboo forests are known to produce much more negative ions, which are known to be good for health, such as stress relief.

죽염마을 셔틀 (매 10분)

"사성암(四聖庵)" 은 해발 531m 오산의 정상부에 위치한 암자로서 백제 성왕 22년 (서기 544년) 연기조사가 창건하였다고하며, 처음에는 "오산암" 이라 불리어 지고 있다가 그후 의상대사, 원효대사, 도선국사, 진각선사 등 네분이 이곳에서 수도 하였다 하여 "사성암(四聖庵)"이라 고쳐 부르게 되었다고 한다.

"Saseongam" is a hermitage located at the top of Mt. Osan, 1742 ft above sea level. It is said to have been founded by Yeongijosa in the 22nd year of King Seong of Baekje (544 AD). It was initially called "Osanam" but was later renamed "Saseongam (四聖庵)" because four master monks, including Great Master Uisang, Great Master Wonhyo, National Master Doseon, and Master Jin Gak, practiced asceticism here.

유리광전전 Yurikwangjeon (glass temple)

절벽에 매달린 듯 높은 기둥 위에 세워진 유리광전이 보는 이를 놀라게 하는데요. 깎아지른듯한 절벽에 한쪽 면만 기둥을 세운 유리광전의 특이한 모습에 감탄이 저절로 나옵니다. 사성암에서 남쪽으러 50 미터 정도 내려가면 암벽에 새겨진 4미터 높이의의 마애여래입상이 있습니다. 유리광전 옆에는 극락전이 있습니다.

It is amazing to see the Yurikwangjeon (glass temple) built on a high pillar as if hanging from a cliff. You can only admire the unique appearance of the glass temple with the pillars erected on only one side of the steep cliff. A 4m high engraved standing Buddha statue is carved on a rock wall 164 ft east of the temple. Next to the glass pavilion is Geuklakjeon Hall.

"귀목나무" 를 지나 계단에 올라서면 왼편으로 "소원바위"가 나오는데 이 바위는 뗏목을 팔러 하동으로 내려간 남편을 기다리다 지쳐 세상을 떠난 아내와 아내를 잃은 설움에 숨을 거둔 남편의 애절한 사연을 품고 있는 바위로서, 한 가지 소원은 꼭 들어준다는 곳이예요. 많은 사람들이 가족들의 안녕을 기원하는 소원들을 종이에 적어 걸어놓았네요.

소원바위 (Wishing Rock)

If you go up the stairs after passing the "Gwimok Tree"(zelkova), "Wishing Rock" is on the left. This rock tells the sad story of a wife who died from exhaustion while waiting for her husband who went down to Hadong to sell a raft. The husband also died of grief over losing his wife. It is said that the rock with a heartbreaking story grants one wish of wellwishers. Many people were writing down their wishes for the well-being of their families on paper and hanging them up.

바위틈으로 생긴 "도선굴" 이 있는데 이곳은 실제로 "도선국사" 가 참선을 했던 곳으로 전해져 내려오고 있으며, KBS 드라마 "추노" 에서는 태하가 혜원에게 치료받은 곳이라고 합니다.

There is a "Doseongul" formed in a crevice in the rock. This supposed to be the place where "Doseon Guksa" actually practiced Zen meditation. In the KBS drama "Chuno", it is said to be the place where Tae-ha received treatment from Hye-won.

사성암 배례석에서는 천하를 조망할 수 있어, 수행하던 스님들이 이곳에서 화엄사 부처님이 계신 방향을 보며 예경했다고 합니다

From the Sasongam baptismal stone, one can view the world, and it is said that monks who practiced here would look in the direction of the Buddha of Hwaeomsa Temple and pay their respects.

사성암 바로 아래에 주차장이 있는데 꾸불꾸불하고 가파른 좁은 길을 운전하시기가 불편하다면 죽연마을에 세워두고 셔틀버스(10분)를 이용하는 것 입니다. 셔틀버스는 왕복요금 3,000원으로 돌아올 때도 이 표를 보여주어야 하므로 잘 간수하세요.

If you find it inconvenient to drive on the narrow, winding, steep road to the temple, you can park at Jukyeon Village not far from Sasongam and take the shuttle bus (10 minutes). The shuttle bus round trip fare is 3,000 won. You will also need to show this ticket when returning, so keep it safe.

구례에 도착해 미리 알아두었던 식당들을 찾았는데 웬일, 두집은 문을 닫았고, 한집은 재료가 떨어졌다네요. 그래서 찾아 간 곳이 왕산 석갈비 집.

Arriving in Gurye, we visited the restaurants we researched in advance. But two of them were closed, and one said they were out of ingredients. So, we headed to Wangsan Seokgalbi Restaurant.

국거리를 먹고 싶어 소꼬리탕 (16000원) 과 왕갈비탕 (14000원)을 주문했는데 시원하게 먹었습니다.
