널리 알려지기 보다는 동네에서 알려진 동양 음식점들을 모았습니다. 계속해서 더 올릴께요.
This is a collection of locally known Chinese restaurant. We plan to update as we visit other restaurants.

Andover (앤도버):

88 Wok
2238 Bunker Lake Blvd. NW, Andover MN.

전에 몇번 점심 콤보 접시를 먹었었는데 별로여서 다시 방문하지 않았습니다. 그러다 코로나 전염병 덕분에 여러 식당을 먹어보다가 더 시도할 식당도 없고해서 다시 이 식당을 찾았습니다.

만두 수프 (5불 39)는 좋았지만 닭날개 튀김 (7불 77)은 마르고 탄것도 있고 낙제 점수.  Seafood Delight (12불 99)는 약간 더 많은 해산물을 사용하면 더 좋았을 것 같았는데 맛이 괜찮아 다시 한번 먹어도 될 듯합니다. Dragon & Phoenix ($ 10.99)는 새우와 호두 그리고 장군 Tso 닭고기 접시를 석어 만든 콤보 요리인데 맛은 괜찮았지만 두 가지 요리가 잘 어울리지는 않았습니다. Golden Wok 's Beef (10불 99)의 "특별한" 소스는 카레로 만들었는데 소스 냄새사 너무 강해 쇠고기 맛을 느낄 수가 없었습니다.  양은 굉장히 많아 두 끼를 먹기에 충분한 음식이었습니다.

We have tried their lunch combo meals before, but we weren't impressed and did not visit again.
But, we were running out the restaurants to try during the pandemic, and we decided to try again.

Wonton Soup ($5.39) was good, but some of Fried Chicken Wing ($7.77) were dry and burnt. Seafood Delight ($12.99) could use a little more seafood, but it was good enough to try it again. Dragon & Phoenix ($10.99) was like a combo dish of shrimp with walnut and General Tso's chicken. The taste was ok, but two dishes didn't go well together. The "special" sauce for Golden Wok's Beef ($10.99) was based on curry and it was too strong to cover the taste of beef. It was a lot of food enough for two meals.

저희들이 두번째 들렸을 때는 Seafood Delight (12불 99)과 Pan Fried Noodle with Meat (10불99)을 주문했는데 Seafood Delight 는 첫번째보다 더 좋았습니다. Pan Fried Noodle with Meat 은 닭, 돼지고기 와 소고기를 국수와 함께 볶은 접시인데 맛은 좋았습니다만 국수가 좀 더 많았으면 했습니다.

On our second visit, we ordered Seafood Delight ($12.99) and Pan Fried Noodle with Meat ($10.99). Seafood Delight was better than first time. Pan Fried Noodle with Meat had chicken, pork and beef and we liked the dish, but it could have been better if it had more noodles.

Anoka (아노카):

지역 신문에서 이 식당이 개업 하였다는 기사를 보았지만 코로나 덕분에 그동안 들리지를 못했네요. 요즈음 다시 제한적으로 다시 식당을 시작하였다기에 "투고"를 주문했습니다. 저크 소스 닭날개(10불)는 닭은 잘 구워졌지만 양념을 더 무쳐야 할 것 같습니다. 소스 맛을 겨우 느낄 정도였습니다. 후추 스테이크 (14불)은 좋은 스테이크 고기를 낭비한 것 같습니다. 전골에 넣은 스테이크는 정말 맛이 없군요. 소고기로 만든 매운 타이 바질 (14불)은 그 중 괜찮았는데 어떤 음식이라고 할 수 있는 특징이 없네요.  

We read an article in local newspaper about their opening, but we couldn't try it because of COVID. Finally, with their reopening with limited base, we decide to try their takeout menu. The chicken wing with jerk source ($10) needs more flavor even though the meat was cooked well. We could barely taste the jerk source. Pepper steak ($14) feels like they wasted the perfectly good steak. We did not want to eat the steak in hot pot. Hot & spic Thai basil with beef ($14) was better, but it lacks the character. We are sorry to say it reminds us why we don't like the fusion Asian food.

Bloomington (불루밍톤):

Don Ho Restaurant

요즈음은 중국집 없는 곳이 없는데 찾아보니 불루밍톤 서쪽 지역도 예외는 아니더라구요. 덕분에 Prior Lake 근처에서 일하면서 가끔 들린 점심 해결 식당이 되었습니다.
There is Chinese restaurant almost in any place and West Bloomington was not exception. This was one of many lunch stops while I was working in Prior Lake area for few months.

혼자 먹으니 주로 점심 콤보를 먹었는데 맛도 괜찮은 편인데 양이 무척 많습니다. 한번도 접시를 다 비우지 못하고 남은 것을 싸가지고 왔습니다. 몆번 들렸지만 맛도 들쑥날쑥하지 않고 괜찮드군요.

I have tried the lunch combos ($7.35). The quality is the average, but the quantity is excellent. I was never able to finish the lunch and needed the to-go box. I have tried few times and the quality has been consistent.


Oriental Jade

오늘은 햄버거는 먹기 싫고 다른 것이 없나하고 찾던 중 오리엔탈 제이드 (Oriental Jade)가 평이 좋기에 들리기로 했습니다.

점심 시간에 들렸는데 메뉴에서 시키는 손님은 하나도 없어 저도 점심 부페 (6불 50전)를 먹기로 하였습니다. 부페 음식들은 보통 정도이고요 어느 접시고 특별하게 맛있다하는 것이 없었습니다. 이런 경우가 왜 평이 그렇게 좋은지 모를 때이지요. 그러나 6불 50에 함버거 대신 먹기에는 괜찮은 편일런지도 모르지요.

This was one of those days when I didn't want to eat the fast food and were looking for the alternative. I decided to try Oriental Jade with their good review.

I stopped at this palace during the lunch time. Since nobody was ordering from the menu, I decided to try the buffet ($6.50) myself. The buffet was an average and none of dishes was excellent. I am not sure about the rave review, but, at $6.50, you may try it when you are looking for the alternative to American fast food.

Champlin:

Ginza

튀김 음식을 식었을 때 평하는 것이 좀 불공평하겠지만 채소 튀김 (8불50)과 새우 튀김(8불50)은 평균치 였어요. 식기 전에 목으면 좀 낳지 않을까 하는데...  Snow Mountain roll (새우 튀김과 오이) (13불 55)과 Samurai Roll (매운 참치와 아보카드) ($13불 55)는 튀김 가루를 너무 뿌려 말이의 참맛을 못 느끼겠드군요. Burning Man Roll (고추 참치와 특별 소스) (13불 95) 은 매운 맛이 너무 강해 참치등 음식 맛을 느끼지 못했습니다.

It may not be fair to judge the tempura dishes on take out since the dishes were done for a while ago. But, both Vegetable Tempura ($8.50) and Shrimp Tempura ($8.50) were average. They may be better if we eat right after the dishes are made. It was hard to judge Snow Mountain roll (shrimp tempura, cucumber) ($13.55), Samurai Roll (spice tuna, avocado) ($13.55) since the taste of rolls were buried under the heavy use of tempura crumb. Burning Man Roll (pepper tuna with special source) ($13.95) was spicy hot and couldn't taste the roll itself.

Coon Rapids:

아내가 딸네 집에 다니러가 아들 녀석과 가까운 중국집에 들렸습니다.
맛은 먹을 만한 정도인데요 양은 무척 많읍니다. 남은 것을 가지고 두 사람이 다음날 저녁으로 먹을 수 있을 정도입니다. 가격은 저렴한 편이고요. 거의 모든 접시가 10불 이하입니다. 분위기는 그저  동네 작은 식당 정도로 결혼 기념일에 아내를 모신다면 인상 좀 받으시겠지만 깨끗은 합니다. 자주 가지는 안겠지만 중국 버페가는 것이 지겨우면 가끔 들릴 예정입니다.

Tried this place while our cook(wife) is on the road visiting the daughter.
The taste is an average, but it is worth while. Most of dishes are under $10 and the quantity is so large that we only finished less than half. The left over was our dinner next day. The ambience was like any small neighborhood restaurant (I won't be taking my wife on the anniversary), but it was clean. Dine in or take out. It will be a place I will be going when I don't want to go to Chinese buffet places.


Angkor Restaurant
506 Northdale Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN

인터넷에서 먹을 만한 곳이 없나하고 찾던 중 이곳이 평이 좋드군요. 거의 빈 쇼핑몰 한 쭉 끝에 있어 찾기가 좀 힘들었어요. 찾고보니 식당안에서 먹게 식탁이 몆게 있지만 주로 테이크 아웃하는 곳이던군요. 주 메뉴는 중국과 캄보디어 음식입니다.

두부와 채소 (9불 95전) 와 Ka Tieu Cha (캄보디아 국수 볶은 것, 9불 95전)을 먹어 보았습니다. 두부 접시는 첫번째 먹을 때는 몰랐는데 두번쩨 먹을 때는 저희 입에는 너무 단 맛이 나더군요. 캄보디아 국수는 테이크 아웃을 해서인지 국수가 쩍쩍 붙어있었는데 맛은 좋았습니다. 몽고리안 고기 접시 (10불 95전)는 동네 중국집 중에서는 제일 잘하는 것 같습니다.

대게 동네 중국집들이 무슨 접시를 시키든 맛들이 비슷 비슷한데 이 집은 각 접시 마다 맛이 다른 것이 괜찮다 싶어요. 한번들려 보세요.

We found this place while searching for a restaurant to try. It was a little difficult to find the place since it is at far corner of almost empty shop mall. They have few table to dine in, but the most business was take out. They offer several different dishes of Chinese and Cambodian.

We ordered Tofu Vegetable ($9.95) and Ka Tieu Cha Pork ($9.95) to go. Tofu dish was good on our first try, but it was a little sweet on our second try. Ka Tieu Cha (stir fried noodle) was very good if you can tolerate the sticky noodle as take out. Mongolian beef ($10.95) was better than other local places.

For most of neighborhood Chinese restaurants have very similar source for almost all of their dishes, but the taste of each dishes was different. This could be a place to try the local Asian food.



Bamboo Village

대부분 식당들이 문을 닫는 시간이라 근처에 있는 이 집에 들려 보기로 했습니다. 생각했던 것과는 달리 식당에서 먹는 것보다는 주문해서 가는 가게이더군요.
We stopped at this place since most of the restaurant were closed. It was more of take-out place than dine-in even though they have few tables for the dine-in.

닭 날개 (6불 95), 몽고리안 소고기 (10불 95), 그리고 해피 헤밀리 (12불 95)를 주문했는데 닭 날개는 무척 컸지만 맛은 별로 였습니다. 해피 헤밀리는 닭, 새우, 돼지고기, 소고기를 검은 소스로 석은 접시인데 특별한 맛이 없었습니다. 몽고리안 소고기도 더 낳을 것이 없드군요. 이 동네에 살면서 중국 음식이 정말 먹고 싶다면 모를까 다시 갈 것 같지는 않군요.
We ordered the Chicken Wings ($6.95), Mongolian Beef ($10.95) and Happy Family ($12.95). Each piece of chicken wing was large, but it wasn't even close to the wings we could get at other places. Happy Family was the stir fried dish of chicken, shrimp, pork and beef in brown source. We weren't quite sure what the chef was trying with this dish. Mongolian Beef weren't any better. It may be a place to go if you live in the neighborhood and have a craving for the Chinese food.



Minneapolis (미네아폴리스):

Ginger Hop

퓨전 음식점이라는 것이 자신이 없어지만 이곳이 친구와 만나기에 서로 중간 쯤이라서 한번 먹어보자하고 들렸습니다.
We weren't quite sure about the fusion food, but we decided to try this restaurant since it is about the middle point for us to meet.

먹어본 음식은 크림 치즈 만두 (5불50전), 칭장군 닭접시 (General Tsing's Chicken) (11불25전) 그리고 닭고기 불 국수 ( Fire Noodle with Chicken) (12불75전) 이었습니다. 크림 치즈 만두는 그저그랬는데 닭고기 불 국수는 짜기만 한 것이 도대체 어느 요리들을 결합해 놓은 것인지 오리무중 이었습니다. 칭장군 닭접시는 좀 괜찮았지만 양념 냄새가 너무 쎘구요 고기는 너무 딱딱하게 구워졌습니다. 
We have ordered Cream Cheese Wontons ($5.50), General Tsing's Chicken ($11.25) and Fire Noodle with Chicken ($12.75). Cream Cheese Wontons was average, but Fire Noodle with Chicken was salty and we were not sure what was the inspiration for this dish. General Tsing's Chicken was a little better, but it had too strong taste and the meat was hard.

실내 장식은 손님 접대하기에도 괜찮은 편이었고요 서비스도 좋았습니다. 그런데 식당에 딸린 주차장이 없어 거리 주차나 유료 주차장을 사용하여야하는데 언제 들리느냐에 따라 문제가 될 수도 있겠습니다. 저희가 들렸을 때는 싑게 주차를 할 수 있었지만...
The decoration was charming and the service was prompt and efficient. We were able to find the street parking spot without difficulty, but the parking could be interesting depending on the time of the day since you have to use the metered street parking or parking garage. 

,음식으론 추천할만한 곳은 아니네요. They do dot get our recommendation just based on the food.



Roseville:

South China Island Inn

로즈빌 동쪽에 있는 교회에서 회의 후 점심 먹을 만한 곳을 찾다 두 불럭 안에 있는 세 곳의 중국집을 찾았습니다. 이니 마이니 모 후 정한 곳이 사우스 차이나 선 인 (South China Island Inn) 이었습니다. 점심 시간 후여서인지 식당에는 손님이 없었지만 테이크 아웃 손님은 꾸준했습니다.

몽골리안 비후 (Mongolian Beef, $8.95)와 시즐링 사 계절 (Sizzling Four Seasons, $8.95)을 주문했는데 몽골리안 비후는 다른 식당에서 보통 준비하는 것과는 약간 달랐습니다. 소스가 액간 더 껄쭉했고 더 단 맛이 있더군요. 저는 밥 비벼 먹기에 좋았는데 친구는 별로라고하네요. 시즐링 사 계절에 사용한 재료는 싱싱했고 양도 많았습니다. 친구는 이 접시가 더 좋았다고 하는데 저에게는 맛이 좀 민밋한 편이었습니다.

이 동네에서 또 점심을 먹을 기회가 있으면 한번 더 들릴만 하네요. 종업원은 테이크 아웃 카운터도 보면서도 꽤 배려적 이었고요 (다른 손님들은 없었지만), 식당 뒤에 조그만 주차장이 있습니다.

Looking for a place to eat after visiting a church in the east side of Roseville, we found three Chinese restaurants in two blocks. After flipping the coin, we decided to try South China Island Inn. Since it was after lunch time, there were no customers in the dining hall, but we have noticed steady stream of take-out customers.

We ordered Mongolian beef ($8.95) and Sizzling Four Seasons ($8.95). Mongolian Beef was prepared differently than other places. The source was a little thicker and sweeter. I thought it was good, but my friend wasn't impressed. The ingredients in Sizzling Four Seasons were fresh and the cook was not stingy with them. My friend liked Sizzling Four Seasons even though it was too mild for my taste.

We would visit again if we are in the area. The waitress was very attentive (we were the only dine-in customer) while also serving the tale-out counter and parking is available behind the building.



Shakopee:

제가 샤코피 지역은 오는 경우가 별로 없는데 이곳에 올 경우가 있어 점심을 먹을 곳을 찾고 있었습니다. 제가 들린 샤코피 지역은 식당 선택이 별로 없드군요. 그래서 중국 식당으로 정했습니다.
It is very rare occasion I come to the Shakopee area, but I was looking for a place to have a lunch. There weren't a lot of choices in this side of Shakopee and I decided to try a Chinese food.

점심 메뉴에 있는 세츄안 타입 소고기를 주문했는데 다른 비평들 같이 맛이 아주 좋은 것은 아니었지만 양식 패스트 푸드 대안은 족히 되는 것 같읍니다. 뭔가 모르겠지만 소스 맛이 다른 집들과 다르더군요. 다른 음식을 먹어 보기 위해 한번은 더 들릴 예정입니다.
I tried the lunch combination platter of Beef Szechuan Style ($7.85). It wasn't as good as other reviews, but it was a good alternative for American fast food. I couldn't put my finger on it, but the source was different than that of other restaurants. I may try one more time just to try another platter.

이곳은 상이 6 - 7 개 밖에 잆는 작은 식당이고 주로 주문 받아 사가는 영업이 많은 것 같군요. 그리고 전심은 오후 2시 까지 입니다. 2시에 문을 닫습니다.
It is a small place with 6 or 7 tables and it seems their most business is take out. Also, the lunch hour is 11 AM to 2 PM and they close the door at 2 PM.

Minnesota Restaurant (미네소타 맛집) - Hajime Japanese Cuising (하지미 일본식당)

코로나 덕분에 전화 주문으로 몇번 먹었습니다. Crunch Roll ($8.95), Volcano Roll ($9.95), Kiss of Fire Roll ($11.95), Salmon roll ($4.00) and Shrimp Tempura roll ($4.50) 를 먹어보았는데요 전에 보다 음식이 많이 좋아졌네요. Volcano Roll 빼고는 다 맛있게 먹었습니다. 단한가지 언라인으로 요금 결제가 안 됐니다.

Because of COVID restrictions, we have tried the take out few times. We have tried their Happy Hour menu. The rolls we tried were Crunch Roll ($8.95), Volcano Roll ($9.95), Kiss of Fire Roll ($11.95), Salmon roll ($4.00) and Shrimp Tempura roll ($4.50). The food was a lot better than before and we liked most of them except Volcano Roll. FYI- you can not pay online.

그 다음에 들렸을 때는 새우 뎀푸라(16불)와 여왕 롤 (Queen roll)(15불)을 먹었습니다. 새우 뎀푸라는 껍질도 얇고 바삭바삭하게 구워진 것이 맛 있었습니다. 그러나 여왕 롤은 밥이 너무 진것이 좀 더 공부할 필요가 있어야겠네요.

On the following visit, We have tried the Shrimp tempura ($16.00) and Queen Roll ($15.00). The better for the shrimp tempura was light and fried right. It was crunchy and very tasty, but the Queen Roll was mushy and needs some improvement.

그 다음에 들렸을 때는 새우 뎀푸라(16불)와 여왕 롤 (Queen roll)(15불)을 먹었습니다. 새우 뎀푸라는 껍질도 얇고 바삭바삭하게 구워진 것이 맛 있었습니다. 그러나 여왕 롤은 밥이 너무 진것이 좀 더 공부할 필요가 있어야겠네요.

On the following visit, We have tried the Shrimp tempura ($16.00) and Queen Roll ($15.00). The better for the shrimp tempura was light and fried right. It was crunchy and very tasty, but the Queen Roll was mushy and needs some improvement.

북쪽 교외 지역에 일본식당이 있다는 광고를 보고 무척 놀랐기에 한번은 들려 보리라 생각하고 있었습니다. 어느날 저녁을 먹고 회의에 가기엔 시간이 없는 참에 하지미에서 테이크아웃해서 먹어 보기로했습니다.

When we saw the local ad for the Japanese restaurant in the northern suburb, it was a big surprise and we had to try it at least once. One day, we did not have time to eat dinner before the meeting and we figured it is a good time to test Hajimi.

크런치 롤 (11불)과 하지미 크런치 롤 (13불)을 주문해서 가면서 먹었습니다. 일본 음식이 정 먹고 싶을때 먹기에는 괜찮은 편이지만 시내에 있는 일본 식당과 경쟁하려면 맛을 더 향상 시켜야 할 것 같군요. 식당 실내는 깨끗했고 까만색의 테이블과 의자들이 현대풍을 느끼게 합니다. 일본 음식이 생각나면 북쪽 교외에선 선택의 여지가 없으니 한번 더 들리지 않을까 합네요. 할인 시간(해피 시간)이 있다고하니 흥미 있으신 분들은 들려 보시기를.

We ordered the takeout for Crunchy Roll ($11) and Hajimi Rainbow Roll ($13). They were good enough to satisfy the craving foe the Japanese food, but they must improve to compete with the restaurants in the city. The interior of the restaurant is clean and modern look with black table and chairs. We may try it again since there is no other choice in the northern suburb. They have a happy hour if anybody is interested.

Food Truck:

Amish Annie Donuts

쿤 레피즈에 있는 홈 디포 (Home Depot)에 갈 때마다 주차장에 서 있는 트럭을 보았지만 아직까지 들린 적이 없습니다. 왜냐구요? 오늘 같이 배가 고픈적이 없었으니까요.

젊은 부부가 추천하는데로 신선한 과일 얹은 도넛과 소금이 들어간 캐러멜 도넛을 (두개에 15불) 주문했습니다. 도넛이 특히한 것은 보통 도넛과 프레첼을 섞어 놓은 것 같아요. 얹어 주는 생크림은 매우 부드러웠고 캐러멜 도넛이 과일 도넛보다 더 맛있었어요. 아마 홈 디포에 갈 때마다 들리지 않을까 걱정되네요.

We have seen this truck parked at the parking lot of Home Depot in Coon Rapids for some time, but we didn't have the courage to try it until today. The reason was simple: we were very hungry.

We took the advice of young couple and ordered the special with fresh fruits and caramel with sea salt ($15 for two). The donut itself was like combination of donut and pretzel and was very good. The whipped cream was very smooth and we liked the sea salt donut more than fresh fruit. It would be a stop for us when we visit the Home Depot.

Bloomington:

This has been our favorite bakery for a while now. The price of bakery goods is more reasonable and the staff is polite and friendly.

We have tried Caramel Pecan Round ($1.10) (I like with a little more pecan, but it is still good), Almond Swirl Danish, Almond Croissant, Ferris Wheel, Chocolate Balls and Apple Comb ($1.20).
But, we did not like the cake as much as the donuts.



St Paul:

사과 크로상을 마침내 먹을 기회가 있었는데 저희들 의견으론 이것이 제일 입에 맞었습니다.
We finally had a chance to try the apple croissants and they are the best among the croissants we tried.

알몬드 크로상 (3불 99전)이 새로 나왔는데 사과 크로상보다 못했고 가격도 만만치않네요. Almond croissant ($3.99) is new, but it wasn't as good as apple croissant, not to mention the price.

크로상이 더 평이 좋았기에 식사 후 네 종류의 크로상을 샀습니다 (하나에 1블 99전). 사과 크로상은 다 팔려 못샀습니다. 크로상은 정말 맛 있습니다. 너무 달지도 않으면서 버터 맛과 조화를 이루었습니다. 다른 평들은 초코렛 크로상이 제일 평이 좋았지만 저희들 의견으론 아무 것도 안 넣은 크로상이 제일 맛 있었습니다. 초코렛은 두번째이었구요 (그것도 제 입에는 코코넛 크로상 (하나에 2불 75전) 이 두번째이지만). 이 집에 들릴 기회가 있으면 또 다시 (아니면 매번) 갈 예정입니다.

주로 사 가지고 가는 주문 식당이라 실내 장식은 거의 전무이지만 주차는 문제가 없습니다. 단 이 식당에 가실려면 꼭 기억 할게 있습니다. 이 식당은 현금만 받습니다. 수표, 카드 다 안 받습니다. 오후에 들릴 예정이면 전화로 확인하세요. 일찍 문을 닫을 수 있습니다.

Since Trung Nam Bakery is better known for their croissant, I bought four different kind of croissants ($1.99 each). Unfortunately, apple croissant was sold out. They are really  really good. It has just enough sweetness to balance the butter. Even though chocolate croissant is most popular, we liked the plain croissant most followed by chocolate croissant (my personal second choice is the coconut croissant ($2.75 each), but it isn't the favorite item among my friends). I will be visiting again whenever I am in the neighborhood.

Do not look for the interior decor since it is more of take out place, but parking is not a problem. Please REMEMBER that it is CASH only shop. No check and card are accepted. Call before you go if you plan to visit in the afternoon. They may close early.


See's Candies
Roseville Center and Southdale Mall

입 맛이 없었을 때 친구가 사 다준 이 집 초코렛이 달지도 않은 것이 맛 있게 먹었습니다. 그 때부터 이 집이 저희가 좋아하는 초코렛 집 중 하나가 되었습니다. 미리 포장해 파는 견과가 들은 초코렛이 파운드에 19불 40 전이고 손님들이 원하는 것을 골라 포장해 주는 것이 파운드에 19불 40 전입니다.

One of the friends brought the chocolate from See's Candles when I didn't have much appetite. They weren't sweet, but very tasty. Since then it became one of our favorite chocolate place. The prepackaged Nuts & Chews was $19.40/lb and the selected chocolates with nuts was $19.40/lb.

Bloomington (불루밍톤):

I don't usually eat the Gyro, but I figure I will at least try once and ordered Italian Supreme ($6.99). It was a pleasant surprise. The sandwich on the flat bread was quite tasty and the fillings were generous. Other sandwiches ($5.95) weren't as good as Italian Supreme. 


Brooklyn Park (브루클린 팍):

Cajun Deli
8038 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445

This is not a deli by the conventional definition. It is a seafood place with Louisiana Cajun style.
When I walked in, there were 4 woman eating seafood with apron and disposable glove. I wasn't sure what to expect for this experience. I wasn't brave enough to try the peel and eat dishes and I ordered the catfish sandwich with onion ring ($6.99). The portion was quite big, but I wasn't sure of the taste. The spicy level is somewhat middle of the road and it didn't help to distinguish itself. On someday, I may try the peel and eat dishes.


Crazy Cajun

This place is similar to Cajun Deli. You order the food at the counter and they bring them to your table.

We ordered the catfish basket ($10.99) and Butterfly Shrimp ($9.00). The foods were so dry without much taste. We do rarely not finish the food, but this was an exception. Compared with Cajun Deli, it was disappointment. We don't think we will be going back even though we did not try the peel and eat dishes.

Burnsville (번즈빌):

Blue Ox Sandwich Factory

I was told by the staff that Sorry Babe ($6.99) is one of most popular item on the menu. It is the roast beef sandwich with bacon and blue cheese dressing. The meat was lean, but it was a little disappointment as a sandwich. I may try the place one more time for the chicken sandwich.

The price ($9.36 w/ drink and tax) was reasonable enough as a good alternative for the fast food places. It was somewhat crowded at the lunch time, but I was able to get the table without the wait. The restaurant was clean and the parking is not the problem. The restaurant is located next to the Burnsville shopping center.

 

Crystal (크리스탈):

King of Olympic Cafe

추천대로 메기 튀긴 것을 시켰는데 양은 무척 많은데 맛은 여러 사람들이 추천한만큼 좋은 것은 않니더군요. 닭고기를 먹어보려 한번은 더 들릴 예정입니다. 동네가 오래 된 곳 같은데 조심을해야하는지 모르겠습니다. 식당은 스트립 몰에 있는데 주차장은 건물 양쪽 끝에 있습니다.

With the recommendation, I have tried the catfish fillets. The portions are large, but it was not as good as some of the reviews. I maybe try one more time for the chicken dishes. I am not sure about the neighborhood, but it is in the strip mall with parking at the side of building.

Edina (이다이나):

Jason's Deli

I usually hesitate to try the chain restaurants, but I wanted to try once since they claim the health conscious, piled-high sandwiches.

You order the food at the counter and they bring the food out to you. I ordered quarter size Muffuletta Ham N Chip ($6.29). They explained that Muffuletta is a Italian sandwich popular in New Orleans, Louisiana. I was not sure about the sandwich itself. It was not piled-high and the salad bar looked a lot better. I may try the salad bar next time.

There are large number of tables, but it was quite crowded at the lunch time. It took me few minutes to get a table. After you finish your food, you may help yourself for free small dish of ice cream. It is a nice touch.

Robbinsdale:

First Crack Cafe

It had very good review for the breakfast, but I stopped by for the lunch after the meeting. The cook said that it has been open less than a year.

I ordered the Seoul Reubin ($8.49) at the counter and I wanted to see how it is different with kimchi. The sandwich was served with fresh salad. I am not a fan of corned beef and the combination of kimchi and corned beef did not do anything to change my preference. However, I will try the place again since some of items on their menu are intriguing.

It is a small cafe with limited number of tables, but the service was prompt. This cafe is in the middle of strip mall, but hard to locate since you can not see the sign from the street. The front entrance faces Bottineau Blvd.

 

Shoreview:

The Winkin's Rooster

지역 상점들을 돕는다는 생각으로 오늘 처음 들렸습니다. Cubano와 닭/베이컨/아보카도 랩을 주문했는데 맛 있게 먹었습니다 (4/5*). 상점 안에 있는 메뉴판에는 "모든 메뉴 항목이 $ 7.50입니다" 라고 쓰여 있는데 요리사가 나중에 칩과 쿠키가 포함되어. 있으니 고르라고 알려 주더군요. 바베큐 칩이 맛있어요. 종업원들은 예의 바르고 친절했습니다. 다른 샌드위치를 먹어 보기 위해 다시 한번 들릴 것 같군요. 

작은 가게인데 코로나 예방 준수를 잘 따르드군요. 손님 나가자 곧 책상을 딱았습니다.  가게는 작은 스트립 몰에 있어 주차는 문제가 없었습니다.

there again sometime. today. Never been there before. Feel like it's important now more than ever to support small local businesses. The owners' (assume it was the owner anyways) daughter took my order and it was adorable.Prices are not listed on the menu except that "All Menu Items Are $7.50." I'll probably have another sandwich there again sometime. I had the chicken, bacon, avocado wrap and it was so yummy the people who took my order seemed super friendly.

It is a small restaurant and was following the COVID protocols as they cleaned the table as soon as the customer left. Since it is located in the strip mall, the parking was no problem.

St. Louis Park:

We have tried Taco special ($5.67 w/ tax). Beef taco was reasonable, but the steak taco was just dull. I will give it one more try. The sitting is very limited. While I was there, I think they had more customers at the meat counter than the sandwich counter. Not sure what it means.

Muffin Man Cafe
Methodist Hospital, St Louis Park, MN

We don't usually review the restaurants in the hospital, but their food is surprisingly good.
This is a little cafe in the Methodist hospital. The price is a little high compared to the similar restaurants in the hospitals, but it could be a good alternative if you don't want to leave the hospital while caring for the family.

St Paul:

Nelson Cheese & Deli

I was told by the staff that St Paul Special ($6.50) is one of most popular item on the menu. It is the roast beef sandwich with spicy pastrami, hot pepper cheese and special source. It comes with lettuce, tomato, and onion. The meat was lean and the sandwich was generous and tasty.

On our second visit, we tried New Orleans ($6.50) and Happy Nut salad ($8.99/lb). New Orleans is a Cajun chicken sandwich with blue cheese dressing. Both sandwich and salad were fresh and very tasty.

This is a better alternative (both price and quality) to subway etc and it will be my go to place if I am around the area. This is the take out only restaurant and you should have a place nearby if you want to order the hot sandwich. Maybe plan for the picnic. Also the parking could be a problem.

Galleria Market (갤러리아 마켓): Devonshire St and Reseda Blvd
밸리에 사시는 분들이 간편하게 식사하기 위해 많이 들리는 것 같읍니다. 아니면 집에 가는 길에 장도 보고 사가지고 가는 손님들도 많습니다.
Love Sushi (러브스시)(폐업) - 스시, 우동 캄보가 값에 비해 맛 있습니다.
전통설렁탕 - 설렁탕집 설렁탕을 추천합니다
Zhi Shing Zaung (진흥장) - 식사 때가 아니라 간식(?)으로 간짜장 (9불50전)을 먹었는데 이것은 아니 올시다 였습니다. 차라리 짜장 라면이 더 낫겠다 싶더군요. 다시는 안 갈 것 같읍니다. 만두 추천하고 볶음밥이 양도 많고 맛 있습니다.
Seoul Hae Janggook (서울 해장국) - 저는 죽을 좋아하는 편이 아니지만 몸이 편치 않으신 분께 전복죽을 사다드렸더니 맛 있게 드셨습니다.
 Tous Les Jours (빵집) - 이름이 확실치 않은데 빵집은 하나 밖에 없습니다. 빙수는 별로인데 빵은 맛 있습니다. 근처에 사시는 분들은 토요일 아침에 이곳에서 막 구어 나온 빵을 사서는 바로 옆에 있는 맥도날드에서 일불짜리 커피를 곁들이면 최고라고 합니다.

Shik Do Rak Valley (식도락): 18434 Devonshire St, Northridge (818-832-7080)
구이 집으로 얄려져 있는 것을 모르고 육계장, 냉면을 먹었는데 이 것 떄문에 다시 갈 것 같지는 않읍니다. 실내 장식은 특별한 것은 없고 주차가 식사 때는 힘들 수도 있습니다.

Duk Su Jang (덕수장): (폐업했다는 소문 그러나 확인 못했음) 7126 Van Nuys Blvd Van Nuys (818-989-7791)
군만두 (12불 99전)는 여전히 맛있게 먹었는데 솥밥 (11불 99전)과 육계장 (11불 99전)은 맛이 변하지 않았지만 보통 정도입니다. 밑 반찬은 특히 뛰어난 것은 없지만 나쁜 것도 없읍니다.
간판이 중국어 간판인 것을 몰라 식당을 찾는데 애 먹었습니다. 도착하는 날 시간이 늦었지만  손님들이 꽤 있는 것이 이곳에 사시는 분들에게는 잘 알려진 식당인 것 같읍니다. 설렁탕과 육계장을 먹었는데 맛은 보통입니다.  실내 장식은 한국풍이지만 고기 냄새가 빠지지 않는 것이 흠입니다. 분비는 시간에는 파킹이 어려울수 있겠드군요.

Hokkaido Buffet (홋가이도 부페):15910 Ventura Blvd (Suite 101) Encino, CA 91436
LA 내려가는 길 Hwy 405 옆에 있어 배 출출하면 부페로 배채우고 LA 돌아다니기가 좋아 몆번 들렸습니다. 일본 식당 같지만 퓨전이 더 정확 할 것입니다. 미국서 일식이나 중국식 부페 다녀 보셨으면 그 짬뽕이라고 생각하시면 됩니다. 맛도 부페로 괜찮은 편이고 점심 10불에 아깝다는 생각은 안드니요. 저녁시간에는 가보지 않았지만 실내 장식도 손님들 모시고 가도 괜찮을 정도 입니다. 파킹은 빌딩 주차장에 하시면 되고요.

Nae Go Hyang Noodle House (내고향 해물 칼국수): 3516 West 8th St Los Angeles 90005 (213-382-0022)
멸치 칼국수 (7블 36전)와 녹두전 (7불 36전)을 주문했는데 칼국수는 시원한것이 맛이 그대로 이더군요.
옷 가게 주인들이 추천하는 곳이라 들려 보았습니다. 몸이 불펀하신 분과 저녁을 함께하기 위해 닭 칼국수, 녹두전, 부추만두를 사가지고 와서 먹었는데 꽤 맛있게 먹었습니다. 다음에는 식당에서 먹어 볼까합니다. 식당이 스트립 몰 구석에 위치해 찾기가 약간 어렵습니다.

Miari Noodle House (미아리 칼국수): 3224 W Olympic Blvd Los Angeles 90006
또 다른 칼국수집입니다. 멸치 칼국수가 닭 칼국수보다 시원하며 맛있었습니다. 녹두전도 먹을 만 했는데 떡볶기는 추천할만 못하네요.

You & Me Cusine (너랑나랑): 701 S Western Ave Los Angeles 90005 (213-388-1717)
분식집 생각하시고 간단하게 점심하기에 좋을 둣합니다. 만두를 먹었는데 꽤 맛이었습니다. 다른 메뉴들은 글쎄요...

The Dragon Restaurant (용궁): 966 S Vermont Ave Los Angeles 90006  (213-387-8833)
점심으로 짜장면, 짬봉, 만두를 시켜 먹었는데 들은대로 맛이 좋았습니다. 그러나 한인타운의 다른 중국집에 비해 약간 비싼편이라고 합니다. 분위기도 괜찮고 또 들릴만한 곳입니다. 파킹은 건물 뒤에 있습니다. 점심 시간에 들려 중국 접시는 주문을 안해 잘 모르겠으나 괜찮다는 평입니다.

Young King (연경): 3100 W Olympic Blvd  Los Angeles 90006
탕수욕 (11불 90전)은 여전히 제일 잘 하는 것 같은데 간짜장 (7불 90전)은 짜장 소스가 너무 묽어 전보다 못하더군요.
짜장면, 짬뽕 잘한다고 점심에 들렸는데 짜장면은 용궁보다 더 맛 있었습니다. 탕수욕도 한국서 먹던 것과 그 중 비슷했구요. 식당 장식은 그저 한국 중국집 생각하면 비슷합니다. 식사 시간 때 들리면 아마 주차가 힘들 수 있습니다.

Mr Coffee (미스터 커피): 537 S. Western Ave Los Angeles 90020 (213-387-8898)
빙수를 먹기위해 꼭 들리는 식당입니다. 과일 팥빙수를 꼭드세요. 양도 많아서 둘이서 하나 시켜 나눠 먹어도 충분합니다. 젊은 층들이 많이 모이는 곳인 것 같읍니다. 파킹 공간이 좁고 차 세울 장소가 많지가 않습니다.


덤으로 한가지 알려 드리는 것은 세일 쿠폰 찾아기지고 발 지압 받아보세요. 저도 처음 받아 보았는데 정말 시원합니다. 가격은 30불 (쿠폰으로 20불)에 팁입니다.

Restaurants we visited during our last visit to Los Angeles, California. They include Korean and Chinese restaurants and Bakery.

Galleria Market (갤러리아 마켓): Devonshire St and Reseda Blvd
It seems that the food court is a place for either quick lunch or dinner including the take-out after grocery stop for the locals.
Love Sushi (러브스시)(CLOSED) - You would find better sushi or U-dong at some other places, but sushi and U-dong combo is good for the price.
전통설렁탕 - Recommend Sul-lung-tang (soup made with basically everything in cow).
Zhi Shing Zaung (진흥장) - Since it was too early for the dinner, we ordered Gan Jja Jang ($9.50) to share and it was a big disappointment. Jja Jang ramyun might taste better and we probably skip this place in the future. Dumpling is good and Special fried rice is real tasty and large.
Seoul Hae Janggook (서울 해장극) - I am not a fan for the porridge, but we took out the abalone porridge for the sick friend. She liked it.
Tous Les Jours (빵집) - Could not remember the name of bakery, but there is only one bakery in the food court. You could find better shaved ice at some other bakeries, but the bread is good enough. If you want cheap and leisurely breakfast on Saturday morning (~10AM), buy the fresh bread at the bakery and get a coffee at $1 at the McDonald across street. Ask few friends to join. It will be a fun gathering.

Shik Do Rak Valley (식도락): 18434 Devonshire St, Northridge
Without knowing the palce was known for the BBQ, we ordered Yook-Gae-Jang (spicy beef and vegetable soup) and Naeng-Myun (cold noodle soup). They were eatable and we will not be going back for them. The interior is an average. and parking could be a problem if you visit during dinner time.

Duk Su Jang (덕수장): (Could not very if they are closed permanently)7126 Van Nuys Blvd Van Nuys
The Fried Dumpling ($12.99) is still good and Yook-Gae-Jang ($11.99) was about the same, but Bi-Bim-Bop ($11.99) could be better. The side dishes (BanChan) were nothing special, but nothing bad either.
It took us for a while to find the place since their sign is in Chinese, not in Korean. Since there were quite a few guests at late hours, the place must be well known to the local community. We have tried Sul-Lung Tang (beef soup) and Yook-Gae-Jang (spicy beef and vegetable soup) and they were average. The interior was decorated as Korean house, but the smell of BBQ and smoke was too strong. It has a small mall parking, but it could be a problem during the peak time.

Hokkaido Buffet (홋가이도 부페):15910 Ventura Blvd (Suite 101) Encino, CA 91436
Since it is near Hwy 405 on the way to LA, we stopped couple times for the lunch and stuffed ourselves before LA trip (sight seeing and shopping). The name implies it is Japanese restaurant, but it is actually fusion restaurant mixing Japanese and Chinese. Compared to other buffets, the food is reasonable and you won't feel cheated for $10 lunch. We did not try the dinner, but the ambiance is above average and it is good enough to take your guests. 2-hour free parking is available in the building parking lot.

Nae Go Hyang Noodle House (내고향 해물 칼국수): 3516 West 8th St Los Angeles 90005 (213-382-0022)
We tried Anchovy Gook Soo Noodle ($7.36) and Mung Bean Pancakes ($7.36). Anchovy kal-gook-su was flavorful and the taste was consistent.
We visited this place on the recommendation of owners of dress shops. We wanted take-out to share the dinner with a friend recovering from the accident. We ordered chicken kal-gook-su, mung bean pancake and streamed leek dumpling. They were good and we will try to eat at the restaurant next time. It might taste better without reworming the food. The restaurant might be a little difficult to find since it is at the corner of strip mall.

Miari Noodle House (미아리 칼국수): 3224 W Olympic Blvd Los Angeles 90006
Another noodle house we tried. We liked the anchovy based noodle soup better than chicken noodle soup. The pan cake was good, but you may find better Duk-BBo Gi (spiced rice cake).

You & Me Cusine (너랑나랑): 701 S Western Ave Los Angeles 90005 (213-388-1717)
If you think of this place as Korean fast food place, you won't be much off. It is a small place for quick lunch. We tried dumplings and they were quite good, but we are not sure about other menu items...

The Dragon Restaurant (용궁): 966 S Vermont Ave Los Angeles 90006 (213-387-8833)
We ordered Jja-Jang-Myun (noodle with black bean source), Jjam-Bbong (spicy noodle soup with sea food), and fried wonton for the lunch. They were as good as we heard even though they ($7.50 - $10.00) are more expensive than other Chinese restaurant in Korean town. The room was clean and the decoration is simple. The parking is available in the back of building, but it could be a problem when they are busy. We have not tried the regular dishes, but we heard they are good.

Young King (연경): 3100 W Olympic Blvd  Los Angeles 90006
We stopped for the lunch since We heard the good reviews of their Jja-Jang-Myun (noodle with black bean source) and Jjam-Bbong (spicy noodle soup with sea food). Jja-Jang-Myun was better than the Dragon Restaurant and the Sweet and Sour ($11.90) was the most close to the taste we remembered from Korea. The interior was not fancy and nothing special. The problem could be the parking during the busy hours.

Mr Coffee (미스터 커피): 537 S. Western Ave Los Angeles 90020 (213-387-8898)
This is a must place for the shaved Ice dish. Order the shaved ice (Bing-soo) with red bean and fruit and it is big enough for two. It looks like a place for young clients and parking could be a problem since parking space is limited and each slot is narrow (we guess it is to make more parking spaces). We never had coffee, but some complained about the price of coffee.

For extra, try the foot message. I did get it for the first time and it really makes you feel good. The fee was $30 ($20 with a coupon) plus tip.

라스베가스에서 들렸던 식당들 입니다. These are places we stopped for food in Las Vegas.


Hwaro (화로)
5030 Spring Mountain Rd

This is all you can eat Korean BBQ place ($22.95/dinner,  $19.95/lunch). We have visited this place twice now. Our first visit was for lunch and there was no wait for the table since our visit was right after they open. The second visit was for Sunday dinner and the wait time was about 30 minutes.
화로는 무제한 고기집 (22불 95전, 점심은 19불 95전)입니다. 지금까지 화로에 두번 들렸습니다. 처음은 식당 문 열자마자 점심 시간에 들렸서인지 바로 자리가 있었습니다. 두번째는 일요일 저녁에 들렸는데 한 30분 기다려야 했습니다.

Among the meats we tried, everybody agreed that Skirt Steak and Brisket are really good, but the verdict was split with Garlic Jalapeno Beef Belly, Signature Pork Cheek and Squid.
먹어본 고기 중에서 모두들 갈매기살과 차돌박이는 맛있다는데 전원 동의했지만 마늘 우겹살, 항정살과 오징어에 관해서는 의견이 나뉘었습니다.

Among two recommended appetizers (bold letters on their menu), the Shit (especially with beer) and Corn Cheese are good and Seafood Salad was fresher than we expected, but we weren't quite sure what Shake Shake Rice is. It is like a bibimbob, but we weren't sure about the origin of the dish. Also, skip the Gyoza (they were in oil too long) and Bean Paste Soup wasn't any better.
식당 메뉴에 추천한 전채 중에서 똥튀김 (안주로)과 콘치즈는  괜찮았고 해산물 샐러드는 생각보다 신선했습니다. 쉐이크 쉐이크 밥은 비빔밥도 아닌 것이 정체불명의 음식이더군요. 튀김만두는 정말 별로이구요 된장찌게도 멀건 것이 별로네요.

The Shit (똥튀김)

Shake Shake Rice

For the side dishes, we liked Green Onion and Beansprout Salad, Potato Salad and Rice Paper were good.
반찬 중에서는 파무침, 감자샐러드와 떡보쌈이 맛있더군요.

For the dessert, we really enjoyed Affogato on our first visit, but it wasn't as good on the second visit. Maybe they were too busy.
처음 들렸을 때 먹어본 아퍼카토가 너무 기억에 있어 다시 시켰는데 이번엔 처음 같지가 않더군요. 너무 바빠서인지.

Some of meats on the second visit were not as good as the first visit. But, overall it is worth the visit. Friends from San Francisco dais it is better than places in San Francisco.  The restaurant is located in the small strip mall and the parking could be a problem at the meal time.
두번째 들렸을 때 고기 몇 종류가 처음 보다 못했습니다. 그러나 전체적으로 들려볼만 합니다. 샌프란시스코에서 온 친구들이 샌프란시스코에 있는 고기집 보다 좋다고합니다.  식당이 조그마한 쇼핑몰에 있어 식사 때는 주차가 힘들 수 있습니다.

We got to the restaurant right after they opened without the reservation and we had to wait for about 30 minutes. They served us water, but you may order the drink while waiting.
예약을 하지 못해 식당 문열 시간에 맞춰 도착했지만 한 30분 정도 기다려야 했습니다. 기다리는 동안 술을 주문할 수도 있고 아니면 종업원들이 마실 물을 가져다 줍니다.

The verdict on Tom Kah Kai ($15.95) soup was split decision. It is based on coconut milk with supposed to be with hint(?) of lime juice. It could have been real nice dish if it has only "hint" of lime, but the taste of lime was too strong. Another split decision was Nam Kah Kai ($10.95) which was a small dish to share among 5 people. It was another dish the strong lime taste which was the reason for the split decision. Otherwise, it was real tasty with the pressure cooked crispy rice. Drunken Noodle Seafood ($15:95) was delicious dish if you don't mind the sticky noodle. We were not sure of crispy duck and curry source combination, but Crispy Duck with Chu-Chee was a pleasant surprise. The duck and curry combination was surprisingly good and the source was also very good with white rice. Garlic Prawns ($29.95) is deep fried prawns. The prawns were very crispy and it was an excellent and all of us enjoyed.
코코넛 우유로 만든 Tom Kah Kai (15불 95전)에 관한 의견은 나뉘었습니다. 메뉴에는 약간의 라임 맛이 있다고 했는데 생각보다 라임 맛이 너무 강하더군요. Nam Kah Kai (10불 95전)도 의견이 나뉘었네요. 접시가 5명이 먹기에 작기도 했지만 몆 사람들에게는 라임 맛이 너무 쎄습니다. 너무 강한 라임 맛만 아니라면 누릉지 맛 나는 것이 고소하고 괜찮다는 의견들입니다. Drunken Noodle Seafood (15불 95전)은 양장피 국수들이 늘어 붙는 것이 괜찮다면 맛있는 음식입니다. 오리와 카레 조합이 어떨런지 자신이 없었지만 맛은 놀랄만 합니다. 국물은 밥과 비벼 먹어도 맛있어요. 마늘 맛이 있는 양념에 구운 Garlic Prawns (29불9 5전)은 바삭바삭하게 구원진 새우에 정말 맛있게 먹었습니다.

The service was great and the place was nicely decorated. We will try again when we visit Las Vegas again.
직원들은 친절했고 실내 장식은 잘 되어 있었습니다. 다시 라스 베가스를 온다면 다시 들릴 것 같네요.



Citizens at Mandalay Bay

Arriving at the hotel quite late hours, we needed a small bite just to relive our hunger. We stopped at Citizens for a take out of Carnivore Pizza ($18.00) and Buffalo Wings ($18.00). We did not expect much from a restaurant in the hotel, but it was a surprise. The food was very tasty and the quantity was more than enough. We definitely recommend this place.

밤 늦게 호텔에 도착해 배고픈 것만 해결하고 자려고 이 식당에 들렸습니다, 테이크 아웃으로 고기 피자 (18불)과 버펄로 닭날개을 주문했습니다. 호텔 내 식당이라 별로 기대를 안했는데 놀라게하네요. 맛도 아주 좋았고요 양도 푸짐해 먹고 남을 정도였습니다. 추천합니다.

한식과 멕시코식을 혼합한 음식점이라고하여 찾았습니다. 한식과 멕시코 음식을 주문할 수도 있지만 혼합식을 먹어 보기로 하였습니다. 김치를 넣어 만든 타코(다른 고기로 6개), 치미창가, 누릉지로 만든 토스타다를 주문하였는데 정말 맛 있게 먹었고 네명이 먹기에도 많은 양이었습니다. 금상첨화는 20불도 안들었다는 것이지요. 단 한가지 문제점은 식당이 작아 (10 탁자 정도) 바쁠때는 기다리는 시간이 꽤 길어 질 수 있습니다.

This is a fusion Korean Mexican restaurant. You could order regular Korean and/or Mexican dishes, but we decided to try the fusion dishes: Mexican dishes with Korean ingredients. We tried Tacos (6 with different meats), Chimichanga and Tostada with Kimchi (Korean seasoned cabbage). Tostada was made with crispy rice shell. The food was excellent and it was more than enough to feed four adults. And It only cost us $20. If you like or try Korean flavored Mexican food, this place is a must. One major(?) problem with this place is that the seating is very limited (about 10 tables).

가장 최근에 생긴 부펩 식당이고 이 곳은 큰 그릇에 있는 음식을 각자 떠 가는 것이 아니고 작은 접시에 따로따로 일인분 씩 담아 내논다고하여 먹어보자 했습니다. 고기 종류는 맛있었고 살라드도 몆 종류는 괜찮은 편이었는데 피자, 파니니 (panini), 그리고 동양식 음식부는 피하십시오. 40불 저녁에 마른 피자나 원조를 모르는 동양식을 먹기에는 너무 억을합니다. 후식은 괜찮았습니다. 원하는데로 만들어 주는 메그로니와 치즈는 별로 치즈를 좋아하지 않는 분들에게도 맛있었습니다.

We decided to try this place since it is relatively new place and the food is served in the individual dish instead of self serving from large container. The meat section was excellent and some of the salad were OK. But, avoid pizza and panini section and oriental section. You shouldn't have to pay $40 for dried pizza and oriental foods with the unknown origin (meaning it only looks like it). Desert section had wide selection and was OK. We liked Mac & Cheese station which make it on your order.

Jean Philippe Patisserie at Bellagio
딸기 타트 ($6.90), 키라임 타트 ($6.90), 오페라(초코렛 케익, $6.90) 를 주문했는데 타트는 정말 smooth하고 맛 있었습니다만 Opera는 별로 였습니다. 카라멜 (한 상자에 24불)은 연하였지만 Sable Breton (한 통에 15불)은 건조하고 푸석푸석 했습니다. 커피하고 먹으면 맛 있다고 하지만. 친구가 아침 일찍 비행기를 타야해 파니니 샌드위치를 주문했는데 그 값에 식사용으로 먹기에는 너무 작았다고 합니다.

We tried Strawberry Tart ($6.90), Key Lime Tart ($6.90) and Opera($6.90). Both tarts were excellent, but Opera was not impressive. We also tried Caramel (very smooth at $24/box) and Sable Breton (dry & brittle at $15, but it suppose to be better with coffee). A friend bought a panini sandwich to catch an early morning flight and commented that it is a snack size, not for a meal.

저희들은 육포를 좋아하는 편이 아니지만 이 곳이 워낙 육포로 유명하다하여 들렸습니다. 점원 이야기로 제일 잘 팔린다는 Honey teriyaki 육포와 Whisky 육포, Peppered 육포를 시식해 보았습니다. 저희들에게는 Peppered 육포나 Honey teriyaki 육포가 괜찮았습니다. 음식 후 술 냄새가 입안에 남아도 괜찮으신 분은 Whisky 육포를 아마 좋아 하실 것입니다.  마늘과 양파로 양념한 피스타치오, 계피로 구운 피칸, 멕시칸 소스와 말린 파인애플 들을 먹어 보았는데 피스타치오와 피칸은 별로 였지만 말린 파인애플은 새로웠습니다.

We are not the jerky fans, but we have tried Whisky jerky, Peppered jerky and Honey teriyaki jerky (most popular by store clerk) since this place was known for the beef jerky. We liked peppered jerky moire than honey teriyaki and whisky jerky. If you don't mind the alcohol after taste, whisky jerky may be for you. We also tried Pistachio garlic & onion, Glazed pecan w/ cinnamon and Dried pineapple w/ chamoy. pistachio and pecan were nothing special, but pineapple was sweet and salty and in a way refreshing
