Crown Bakery (4*)

라스베가스 공항 도착 후 엔터프라이즈 카 렌털에서 빌린 차를 찾은 후 저희들이 항상 처음 들리는 곳으로 갔습니다. 그 곳은 크라운 빵집입니다. 안에 들은 팥들도 다른 빵집보다 알차게 들어 있고 맛도 항상 그대로 이구요. 많지는 않지만 테이블도 있어 커피와 함께 드실 수도 있고요. 적극 추천합니다. (평점 4*)

After arriving at the Las Vegas airport, we picked up the rental car from Enterprise Car Rental and went to the first place we always stop by. That place is Crown Bakery. The filling is very generous than other bakeries and they are always tasty. There are few tables to enjoy the bread with coffee. Highly recommended. (Review 4*)

그린랜드 슈퍼마켓 (Greenland Supermarket)에서 물과 간식을 사러 잠깐 들른 후, 점심은 저희들에겐 새로생긴(?) 한식당에 가보기로 했습니다. 점심시간 전이어서 그런지 손님이 우리뿐이었습니다. 설렁탕은 ($15.99) 국물 맛이 좀 더 진했으면 했습니다. 반면에 Soft Tofu Soup (순두부 찌개) ($15.99) 재료도 변변치 못했고 너무 매워서 다 먹을 수가 없었습니다. 반찬은 괜찮았지만, 김치는 탕 요리에 어울리도록 개선이 필요합니다.

식당 안은 벽 장식은 별로 없었지만 깨끗했고 종업원들은 친절하였습니다.  파킹은 문제가 없을 것 같습니다. (평 3*)

After a quick stop at Greenland Korean supermarket for water and snacks, we decided to try a new(?)(to us) soup house for lunch. Maybe because it was before the lunch hour, we were the only customer. Ox Bone Broth w/ Brisket ($15.99) should have been more thicker for better taste. On the other hand, Soft Tofu Soup ($15.99) did not have much sea foods and was too spicy and we could not finish it. The side dishes were good, but the kimchi needs improvement to have with the Korean soup dishes.

The restaurant was clean with the minimum decorations and the staff were friendly. Parking should be no problem. (Review 3*)

Timber Creek Overlook Trail (평점 3*)

방향: 고속도로 I-15에서 40번 출구로 나가서 콜롭 캐년 로드 (Kolob Canyons Road)를 따라 약 5마일을 더 갑니다.

콜롭 캐년 로드는 경치가 매우 아름다운 드라이브 코스로, "콜롭 캐년 전망대"라고 알려진 멋진 전망대가 있는 산등성이 위에서 끝납니다.

The Kolob Canyons Road is a wonderfully scenic drive and it ends high up on a ridge with a great viewpoint known as the "Kolob Canyons Viewpoint."

Timber Creek Overlook Trail은 주차장에서 남쪽으로 향하는 짧은 산책로로 능선 꼭대기에 오르면 놀라운 360도 전망을 볼수 있습니다. 완만한 경사로가 점차 Shuntavi Butte, Timber Creek, Kolob Terrace, 그리고 Pine Valley Mountains가 보이는 바위 노두로 이어집니다.

주차장에 화장실은 있으나 물은 미리 충분히 준비하세요.

날씨가 흐렸음에도 불구하고 Timber Creek Overlook에서 아름다운 일몰을 볼 수 있었습니다.

Timber Creek Overlook Trail (Review 3*)

Distance: 1.1 miles

Difficulty: Easy

Direction: Turn off Highway I-15 onto Exit 40, you’ll follow the Kolob Canyons Road for a little over five miles.

The Timber Creek Overlook Trail is a short stroll that heads south from the main parking lot to offer an amazing 360 view from the top of the ridgeline. The gently sloping trail gradually leads you up to a rock outcropping with a view of Shuntavi Butte, Timber Creek, Kolob Terrace, and the Pine Valley Mountains.

Restrooms are available in the parking lot and make sure to have plenty of water.

크리스마스 이브에서인지 세인트 조지에 문을 연 레스토랑이 별로 많지 않았습니다. 다행히도 리뷰가 매우 좋은 Korea Picnic을 찾았습니다. 하지만, 조명이 있는 외부 간판이 없어서 식당을 찾는 데는 탐정 기술이 필요했습니다.

김치찌개(13.50달러 + 잡곡밥 2.50달러)와 고등어 구이(14.50달러 + 잡곡밥 2.50달러)를 주문했습니다. 김치찌개는 괜찮았지만, 그렇게 높은 점수를 받을 수 있었는지 좀 의심스러웠습니다.  그날 재료로 마지막 남은 고등어라고 했는데 생선이 다소 마르고 조리가 제대로 되지 않았습니다. 테이블이 몇 개뿐인 작은 식당이지만, 직원들은 도움을 주려고 노력했습니다. (리뷰 2*)

There weren’t a lot of restaurants open on the Christmas eve in St George. Luckily, we found Korea Picnic with very high review. But, without any lighted outside sign, it took some detective skill to locate the restaurant.

We ordered Kimchi JJigae ($13.50 +2.50 for Multigrain rice) and Roasted Mackerel (14.50 + 2,50 for Multigrain rice). Kimchi JJigae was ok, but we weren't sure for the high mark. We suppose to get the  last Roasted Mackerel they had for the day. The fish was somewhat dry and wasn't well prepared. The place is small with only few tables, but the staff was trying to helpful. Red Hills Desert Garden

정원은 수천 개의 조명과 디스플레이로 겨울 원더랜드로 변모했습니다. 작은 공원이지만 저녁 산책을 하기에 아름다운 곳이었습니다. 추운 저녁이었지만 아이들과 함께 온 가족들을 많이 보았습니다.

Red Hills Desert Garden

The garden has been transformed to a winter wonderland with thousands of lights and displays. It is a small park, but it was beautiful place for the evening stroll. We have seen many families with their children even though it was a chilly evening.

Best Western Plus Settlers Point

우리는 이곳에서 매우 편안한 밤을 보냈습니다. 방은 편안한 침대와 매우 깨끗하었고 조용했습니다. 아침 식사 메뉴는 다른 호텔들과 비슷했지만 맛있게 준비되었고 직원들은 세심했습니다. (평 4*)

We spent  a very comfortable night at this place. The room was very clean with comfortable bed and quiet. The breakfast food was similar to other places, but prepared very well and the staff was attentive. (Review 4*)
